In reality he’s not very tough. I read an article of his role in Saving Private Ryan.

They had a mini boot camp for the actors so they could learn to sell themselves as soldiers. It was only a week. He was quoted saying he would never do that again. He said he had a healthy respect for soldiers after that.

The movies he's been in portrays him to the public as a tough bad ass guy which could be completely different than reality. I don't know him but I'm willing to bet that helps his image a ton. Also, he's very well known and financially well off. Women will definitely go for him based off the fame but also many Women actually find him attractive.

First off, the guy is around 50, so well past his prime lol, and clearly looks far better than the vast majority of men in the REAL world that are around his age. Anyway, if we look at how he was during his roles in the late 90s through mid 2000s he was clearly a very attractive, ruggedly handsome and well muscled guy. Combine this with the fact that he is playing highly dominant roles in his films and a celebrity with money and status of course women are going to be very attracted to him.

With that aside, Vin Diesel, as well as many other highly masculine men like him, are not always going to be every woman's ideal man. Many women might actually be insecure around guys like him and go for a less masculine man instead.

For real, I guarantee the guys on here commenting about how he isn't attractive are probably the stereotypical weirdo incels people talk about on here.

With that aside, some women may prefer a very ruggedly handsome buff guy wearing jeans and a tank top, like vin diesel or any other guy like this . Another woman may prefer a more manicured man, like Orlando Bloom, Robert Pattinson from Twilight, etc.

Both categories of men are clearly good looking guys, they will just naturally attract a different kind of woman.

I don't think Vin Diesel is regarded as a sex symbol. As a wealthy, high-status man with a tough guy persona, he's going to attract women on a fundamental biological level, but I don't think he was ever making the ladies swoon with his looks. I don't think girls had Vin Diesel posters on their bedroom walls. Certainly not a bad-looking guy, though.

I think it's going to come down to what type of women we are looking at. Girls that are in high school and in their late teens to early twenties I see going more for the pretty boy type of guy. We can just look at the past couple decades and girls in this age range were obsessed with Justin Timberlake, Orlando Bloom, Justin Beiber, Robert Pattinson, etc.

Now, take some guy like Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, or any other very masculine and buff guy......can you see some 20 year old blonde sorority girl going for that lol? Those guys are good looking dudes but I just don't think they'd appeal to very young women, particularly white women from an upper middle class upbringing. Guys like that are just not something they were used to growing up, so it makes sense that they wouldn't go for it.

Speaking for myself, I'm white, 6'4", have a shaved head, naturally broad shouldered and 230, to put this into context I can do 20 chin ups and lift a lot of weight. The type of women that seem to find me initially attractive are often hispanic, black and certain types of white women, usually ones that are very sexual and not at all the prim and proper girl. The issue that I have, which we have discussed, is that my very masculine and probably slightly physically intimidating physical presence is offset by the fact that I grew up upper class, am educated and well spoken......so my personality isn't congruent with my physical appearance. Those former sorority, daddy's girl, etc. is probably not going to go for a guy like me unless she actually got to know me. On the flip side, the women that are attracted to me never pursue anything further because my actual self is not what they were truly looking for.
