So as most of you know I live in an area of FL that's one of the oldest average age places in the state. There literally is hardly any women in my county are regularly active in my county on OLD or who are not gross looking. Even the county to my south doesn't have a huge selection of new users on there.
I end up having to look all the way up in places like Manatee county to find a larger selection of women or the min Sarasota. The last OLD I went out with was 60 miles away.
This cute, solid HB 7, cute smile, well educated, and had a lot of common interest with me messaged me back today on Match and said she noticed we have a lot of things in common with each other except she said the distance was too far for anything to work. She lives over 60 miles away with a teenage kid, divorced and career. 34 with a 15 year old kid.
The max distance on her profile she was looking for I believe was 35 miles so I was really pushing it but when I saw her interest I figured why not try anyway.
Most of my luck on OLD talking to people is distances of 30 to 60 miles away due to selection.
So is there any way you can counter this distance thing when you're messaging someone when you're outside their preferred distance range? Especially 20 miles or more outside the range? I know it's probably useless but is there any Hail Mary's you can do to counter this?
I hate SWFL. Full of old people. Tired of having to look closer to Tampa to find a selection.
