It’s a forgone conclusion that the world is based on illusions. The media inundates the public with misdirection, misinformation and narratives, showing only what the media wants you to see. This concept is worthy of a post of its own, but that’s for another time.
The trouble with living in an illusion is that one has the tendency to become that illusion. Thus, the title. One has immersed themselves into the illusion. The interesting thing about having cognitive reasoning, identity and personality is that it’s created.
Consider an individual that changes his life, improves himself, goes in a new direction. That route would not be possible without the ability to decide for oneself. In fact, nothing happens in life that isn’t of your own volition. A drug addict, for instance, chooses to continue doing them. A man is who he chooses to be. If you continue to conduct yourself negatively, it is by your choosing, else you would simply stop.
It’s foolish to forget the effect of external influences. But, even this is a choice. Ask yourself, for example, why the concept of a person who’s a bad influence even exists. The idea had to have come from somewhere. The element of choice on this matter is already self-evident, yet it’s overlooked. Totally overlooked. Most accept responsibility in some areas, while totally neglecting it in others.
This is a new level of responsibility, not only accepting responsibility for one’s mistakes, but also for one’s position in life. It all sums up to this:
A man exists in the matrix, and the feminine imperative, because he chooses to. A man’s goals are left unfinished because he has deemed it to be so. A man’s attitudes about life, himself, women, society, the universe. His beliefs on politics, understanding of the universe. There isn’t a single part of you that isn’t your own decision. Even your reactions to people and information are your choice. Free will is the ultimate of existence, and one of its secrets.
Not seeing evidence right in front of your face? Not observing the obvious? Your choice to overlook it. A hot item among men in this “modern” society is pornographers. Well, You chose to partake. One will pull the wool over their own eyes, of their own volition. This makes it impossible to actually trick someone without they, themselves, actually willing to be tricked. This includes looking for pertinent information to avoid being tricked. This is a universal concept, and my understanding of the true definition of responsibility and ownership.
Your life is the totality of what you have immersed yourself into. Your Immersion is your responsibility, and your choice.
If you want to be something else, stop doing the opposite of your ideal self. Want to quit a habit? Stop doing it, or take steps to end it. Want to change your beliefs and attitudes? Replace them with something else, and stop paying attention to voice in your head that says otherwise. Exercise your judgement, be your own counsel. Your struggles only exist because you are proliferating them.
Stop immersing your yourself into that which you know isn’t you, which you know is part of the illusion. Abandon that which you know isn’t masculine, and what is against your nature.
Simply put, it begins with a choice.
