I've never been one to place blame on an entire race or people just because of an act of terror by a few.@Spaz I was drinking with guy who was in hot places and he told me what je thinks about them. It’s too racist I can’t paraphrase, but it has to do with their higene. Nah man, that entire religion is absolete. We are too eager to blame jews and their genocidal war on palestine, but no, they created an oasis and are a major player in middle east. Nah man. Islam is obsolite.
Absolutely.I've never been one to place blame on an entire race or people just because of an act of terror by a few.
As for Islam being obsolete, I can't comment on it since I've not studied their entire holy book but observing Muslims, I find many to be decent, good, kind hearted like most people.
It's always the fanatics giving a bad name to their beliefs.
Wars brings out the worst in people but it also can bring out acts of selfless compassion though that's few and far in between.Absolutely.
Thing is when at war not all people are good.
The line between religion and culture is thin. I find most Muslims to be a Muslim in culture only, similar to many Americans being Christian. I personally am a practicing Christian so I see the difference daily. Most Muslims have no desire to blow anyone up, and most of them have no real desire to bow down multiple times per day to Allah or whatever, they do it just because they are told to and were raised doing so.I've never been one to place blame on an entire race or people just because of an act of terror by a few.

was in UAE, Dubai in particular few years back, a girl in abaya standing next to me, gave me the eye and i was too eager to talk to her but kinda afraid as well.. still cannot forget how awesome her body under abaya... and i think she barely wear anything under beside maybe a lingerie,Last year I saw a (I presume) woman walking down the street in NYC wearing a burka...and high heels. I thought, how funny, her a$$ must look great under that thing.

I too am a practicing Christian, as such I can understand what u r trying to convey, in that cultures can be shaped by religion. The line between religion and culture is thin. Goes to show you that people, even if they don't believe something and/or know why they are doing it, will follow the herd. But if you want someone to truly believe, you have to show them 'why'. Most sheep can go their whole life not know 'why' they are doing anything.
I'm with you, that's why I chose Christianity for sure. It extends beyond the other religions' limitation. In actuality, I hate the term "religion" because it trivializes my own. It would be stupid for me to simply choose a religion from multiple options, I mean we are talking true belief here, it's not really a matter of preference in my mind, it's what is true.I too am a practicing Christian, as such I can understand what u r trying to convey, in that cultures can be shaped by religion.
However Christianity is flexible, as can be seen in Asia, cultures is mostly still maintained or intact, for example, if one were to meet a Chinese Catholic in China, they will tell you that they do maintain their ancestral worship, meaning they pay homage and make offerings by burning incense to their departed parents or ancestors.
It is a form of deep respect and a form of love.
Perhaps this is one reason why Christianity is growing in Asia, it doesn't subjugate but acknowledges and embraces different cultures.
