Did you find any new source of income ? I personally got a soft hit because the market went down , from new sources of income prespective, strugguling to find a side business that not conflict with my full time job. It is really challenging to find profitable business these days , it seem each idea there is thousands of people trying it .

Sell really cheap lunch as a side business.

Rent a small space in an existing food court or equivalent.

If the average lunch costs is $ 8

Then you sell yours at $5 - Rice + 1 meat dish + 1 vegetable dish.

You'd be a major hit in a couple of weeks and raking in $$$.

My retirement right now is in the stock market, so not very good. I'm riding it out though. Stay in it right now and you'll reap the benefits which it rises.

I think the most overpriced dish in almost every country is pizza. It costs around 8€ here (small size). With that 8€ I can cook 3 pizzas myself at home.

A pan pizza (small size) from pizzahut at my current location could cost roughly euro 1.07

You guys could easily earn money anywhere in a developed country or even in a developing country.

Just find a city that basically sells everything expensive and use that to ur advantage by selling cheap.

All that's needed is some ingenious business plan - it's so easy to make money.

I made some small change there. I bought early, I knew I had to sell once it got popular because by then it almost certainly will fall since it was primarily driven by sentiment.

Plenty of people made money sosousage, a great many people did who used their instincts to buy ahead from the herds.

The vast majority are herds with herd like mentality.

How’d you learn to start doing stocks? I’ve wanted to get into that myself. Any books, websites, or videos you recommend that I could start getting into?

Did ok trading Loose Change last year. But car course in the market crash with my last trade so lost about half my profit. Need a new day job this year by end of May so focus is that and saving up enough cash to get back into the market again. Want 20 k to start trading anything less is judt wasting time. Real estate market is sliding in aus so will be keeping an eye on that and might swoop on a distressed property

Selling economical food is a numbers game and must be done in a high density location with plenty of average wage earners.

A typical chicken rice stall could generate sales per day at roughly $ 500.

1 chicken can certainly serve up to 10 pax.

Cost per chicken $18

Selling price per pax @ normal is $ 8

Selling price per pax @ economy price $ 5.50

Average total sales of chicken is 10 in the economy range.

Rental could be daily at $30 or monthly $900.

Monthly revenue = estimated @ $15,000

How I know this ?

Spaz co-owns it.

I dont know where you live, but it is impossible to rent any place in mall for 900$ , beside you are not counting all other fees. workers wages , etc .
Beside that you are suggesting to only be at lunch , that make the equation even harder, many restaurants at malls cant even afford to break event with 9 to 9 work ours.
It could these numbers work where you live, but here in Canada your numbers make no sense

A mall stall rental is roughly $1500-$2000

Mine is at a shop lot converted into a food court with rental space for individual stalls @ $900

Part time staff just for 11am - 2pm roughly 1k - 1.5k per person.

I have 2 at the minimum and 3 during peak season.

I'm not talking restaurants, I'm talking about stalls or kiosk.

If you are managing to make a food business work then fair play. In my opinion it is a tough game with little profit assuming you are operating legally.

I take it that you account for public liability insurance, employee insurance, food premises approval, business rates per square foot of premises, equipment and maintenance cost, cost of gas and electricity, VAT and capital gains tax?

So all in all if you have a passion for food, or can afford to employ a decent chef with a passion for what he or she does, and can actually offer something different and unique within the vicinity of the competing food outlets, then you stand a chance. But if you are just the average joe who wants to make a quick buck with no real interest in street food or what ever it is you are pushing then you are more likely to get a rude awakening in my opinion

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.
