“A rodeo cowboy would never give up Cheyenne, Wyoming, the holy grail of rodeo, for a woman.”

For me, it’s my writing and bowhunting.
I think it’s really hard for a man to find that thing in him and still truly live it.

What’s hard to look at, is that there were times I’ve given up both.

I also gave up the only job I truly loved. Combat Marine infantryman.

I haven't given up anything, except maybe some me-time. I experimented for a while with giving things up, temporarily, to see if it worked, and quickly found that it had the opposite effect. Women want a man who's purposes is his first priority. Women will pitch a fit in order to test you by trying to get you to make them your first priority but the moment you do, they lose the attraction for you. That doesn't mean you have to be stone cold and do whatever you want all the time, but know that they test you and when you give up things you love, you both lose.

Yep, make her #1 top priority and she’ll make a B line for her orbiters and exes blowing up her phone in text (that’s she’s given hot/cold or lite attention till your afc move), Instagram DM, Facebook messenger, etc. etc.

For me, I make a delayed education or work lateral move when I get too invested in a LTR. I’ve made that mistake too many times not to drill that lesson into my head. I have to improve... I have to be #1 in my world.

This is hard to quantify, at some point or another ALL men will give up some form of freedom, as a means to compromise.

Compromising certain freedoms is important to have some semblance of a healthy relationship.

It's when men compromise too much to the extent that it's destructive towards himself and by his own doing subsequently erodes his relationships with women then it's high time he learns how to manage his boundaries.

A man must set a few categories in his boundaries (I hv 3 categories), a set of firm, unshakable boundaries, another set for those that he is willing to compromise when debated and recognises the merits in a given situation, and one more set that is open for interpretation - being fluid in the environment he is operating.

I've given up many (there's lots), those I consider small and insignificant, some things that I could live with just in order to achieve happiness in a relationship.

And yet, what others might deem insignificant - for example, I'll fight to the death of a relationship; if my woman insists i carry her handbag when she needs to enter a public toilet or insisting i carry her umbrella etc.

Again, I recommend men to categorised their own set of boundaries to manage his relationship with women.

When a man manages his boundaries it is actually him taking the lead in a relationship with women.

Indeed. It’s like when there’s upsets and I would not write that day or the next three days due to distraction.
A woman can and will cause an upset that predisposes you to have part of your mind separated out onto that distraction or “her concerns”, so to speak.
Thus it’s not fully on your goals and tasks. That’s what I mean by giving up something. I didn’t mean not do it anymore. Though leaving the Corps was actually giving something up. That is also giving something up.

Anyone who says they haven’t is not really looking at it. There is a give and take that’s normal. Fluid.

The reason they are called “Dream Killers” is that they can disrupt your continuity and do. Is it a test? Of sorts. There is also the guy that gets so centered that he also neglects and then blames her for cheating. There is a trade off.

This is why Tomassi’s recommendation is to not be in one until at least your mid 30’s. Later is even better. And then get one in her early 20’s if your goal is to have children. By then, you should be established and can afford to have those distractions and handle as needed.

I agree, the age gap is very important from an EQ perspective and also as u hv stated.

Edit: The closer the gap the more likely the relationship is bound to fail.

This is so clear in my mind that it is profound. A complete negation of the feminine imperative is required. A social construct of a very sinister nature.

There are so many feminine imperative garbage counters to this. I think they are reduculous now.

“What could you possibly have in common with a yourger woman?”

“That would just make you a dirty old man.”

Lies. All of them. There was a thread on here I read a little while back where the guy was so programmed by the imperative that he would voluntarily deny himself what he wanted. His mind was completely rewired to support the imperative.
“No woman under “insert age” for me. It’s just too big a gap.”

He actually thinks this is him and the way he believes.

The purpose is to get you to marry up with women at, or past the wall who squandered their SMV on The carousel. Ruined their own lives and the lives of men they were married or connected to.
To be quite honest with everyone. They don’t deserve it.
You can’t support feminism on one hand and then complain that there’s no good men out there. They are a contradiction of terms. Lol

Thank God that most men think so, it leaves us with plenty xD
