There is going to be a fight between the two, Mayweather vs Khabib. Who gonna win? My .02 cents is the following. Mayweather will knock Khabib out, unless Khabib takes down Mayweather and chocked him out.

If this goes ahead, then yes it's the BIG money game!

Both parties are WINNERS here! $$$

I reckon it could go the same way as the Khabib vs Conor fight.

However Mayweather could land a serious knockout!

Khabib is taking a play from Conor's book. Good for him. Mayweather will win. Boxing is a different kind of game from MMA as Conor found out. In fact, i read an article that Conor suffered mild brain damage as a result of his fight with Mayweather.

Mayweather.

The man is incredible at what he does. Being able to dodge a point blank punch, consistently, is just nuts.

Khabib is way in over his head. McGregor ia fast. Khabib is probably faster. But Mayweather is just the fastest.

I don't think people realize just how good Mayweather is.

Don't let this happen FFS. Khabib has more important (and more entertaining) fights to get to. Plus this will not have McGregor's hype skills.

True. McGregor's challenge to Mayweather had a novelty about it: would an MMA defeat a boxer in a boxing match? Who's cardio is better, a boxer or an MMA fighter?

It was this novelty and curiosity that drove high pay-per-view buys. But those questions have now been answered: NO, an MMA fighter CANNOT beat a boxer in a boxing match anymore than a boxer can beat an MMA fighter in an MMA fight.

Therefore, i believe this would draw Khabib's biggest payday but it certainly won't beat Mayweather vs McGregor's PPV buys.

Why don't you people come here? Visit Sochi, Dagestan, Chechnya, Moscow, etc. Visas are electronic I think and 2 way flight is something like 800 via aeroflot.

Floyd Mayweather is a boxing beast.

Most boxers at high level would probably kill the UFC fighters in a match. (Unless they get taken to the ground, but strike game it's gg).

They remain "sport" since they have rules.

However, true MMA had glorious fighters back in the days.

The level of fighter i think overall increased since they have "factory of fighters" . However, the rights got more boring and standardize.

You dont see much of the Martiale Arts technique other than some punch and a wrestle.

They should bring back Sakuraba

Won't even be close. You can't beat Mayweather in a boxing match. He won't fight MMA at all, so it will be boxing.

This is an easy pay day for both. Who wouldn't lose to Mayweather for a $200 million paycheck?

Watching Sakuraba run through the Gracies was one of the most entertaining and amazing things ever. Great stuff. Fvcking legend.

I think with current mma, it's heading towards people being a jack of all trades, master of none sort of thing. Which raises a question, would we rather see that or people specialising in something particular to a really high level?

I prefer the latter to be honest. Which is why i've just been watching Glory kickboxing instead.
Same.

They are standardrizing the MMA fighters to fit the rules of the game.

MMA a great sport and I recommand anyone who wants to start martial arts (especially at adult age) to start there.

But what's MMA?

Alot of the fighters now are from random places that anyone could have open a gym, crédit himself a Black Belt etc.

Its a bit of Muay Thai, with BJJ, with wrestling.

They are "no expert" .

Mayweather versus Connor was a perfect example of this "master" in boxing against a jack of all trade (Conor who might be out of shape but has strong standup and taekwondo Leg works. Connor BTW who has superior StandUp than khabib. Khabib just took him down all the time and Connor didnt seem to want to stop that)

I love the domination of some fighters like GSP (who is strong standup but use wrestling to win), Silva etc... They are strong but they mystères the "rule of the sport MMA" (Muay Thai, BJJ, wrestling)... If you look at Sakuraba, Gracies, Wanderlai Silva, early UFC, some early MMA tournanement (strikeforce, prise), fedor, randy couture, bas rutten.... When they fight you can see their fighting style (or TMA aka traditional martial arts). I think a certain French fighter in the UFC or Jackson, used to do alot of Judo techniques in fights.

The fights are becoming "professional standardized to the point game" . Normal fighters dont give openings to some stuff you see in JutJitsu, Karate,Judo, aikido etc.

I am not speaking of Martials Arts vs other Martials, but how the fighter cage fight.

Now, GSP in Canada is doing Judo techniques promotion vidéo (for a Judo club) using no-gi.. Judo works well without Gi and it has strong anti-takedown techniques (really useful against BJJ and Wresters). BJJ is judo in ground game (before the Olympic removed ground fighting in Judo)

Oh well it would be fun to see some Martial Arts techniques other than the casual punch-takedown-kimura
