I'm seeing a lot of Male Victimhood on these boards lately. Complaining that women get to choose whether to have babies or abort them sounds a lot like when women complain that men ought to have babies, because it's "not fair."

But if you don't like the way it is, you have choices.
You could lobby lawmakers to change the laws to give men more say in abortion, child support, and the like, or to ban those things outright. And you could hope that society's attitudes change enough for those laws to be changed. That could take decades, if it happens at all, not to mention a fortune, and a lot of compromise. If running to Big Brother for protection is your thing, that's fine

You could relocate to a country where the practice is banned. There are still many, many nations where this is the case, including in the developed world. This would cost less time and money, but would still be expensive.

You could practice better decision making. This is cheap. Abstinence is the only foolproof contraception. As noted earlier in this thread, you have the individual power to decide whether to have sex with a woman. You also have the options of getting a vasectomy, or holding out for the male birth control. But if you choose to be smarter about how and with whom you have sex, the only cost to you will be not having that experience. Sex is pleasurable, and I support seeking pleasure, but I also support screening partners and being wise about the consequences

All actions have consequences, and your failure to accept the potential worst-case outcome of any action IS your fault. Whether the woman is to blame or not is irrelevant to how you decide to live your life. Whether it's fair or not is moot. Whether abortion is "right" or "wrong" or legal is irrelevant. She could still get an abortion even if it were illegal.
Its not all consequences since women have their victimhood+ parade of free resources, the Welfare state, daddy gov, etc.
