I’ve never really believed in the Hot/Crazy Scale, but lately I’m even questioning myself.
For years, I’ve dated 8’s. If I’m being honest with myself, I’m probably an 8 or an 8.5 when I’m cutting and in great shape.
Lately I’ve been raising my bar and meeting with 9s or higher. Are they all crazy or something?
Case in point - I meet a girl off Bumble, and we’ve got some good flirting going on over text and later we call each other before meeting. She’s super into it, and she’s basically asking me if I can meet up sooner than later.
So we meet, the date is going well, and somewhere about an hour into the date, I notice that she’s not really smiling like she was in the beginning. We had been just asking each other personal questions to get to know each other (with some flirting and joking of course).
She then says ‘ready to walk back’? Now you have to realize, we live in NYC and our apartments are pretty much on the way home.
We start walking and she says to me ‘don’t you have to go that way?’ And I’m like ‘ha, nope my place is this way.’ She looks at me like I’m attempting to stalk her and awkwardly continues to walk, not really looking at me.
Then I remember she brought up some story during our date of this guy who stalked her all the way home one night. So I try to put her at ease and I say ‘Wait wait.. do you really think I’m trying to stalk you home from a lunch date right now?’ Again, she doesn’t even smile and says ‘I really don’t know’.
Like Jesus Christ.. broad day light in NYC and this girl is under the impression I’m stalking her home.
Anyways, we part ways with a kiss on the cheek and next thing I know I’m getting a text that says ‘I’d prefer if we don’t meet up again’.
Never in my life have I been turned down by a girl in this way. Crazy women.
