What so-called high value man digs through sites like POF for immediate dates unless he's desperate for easy, low quality women and isn't high value at all? And what type of desperate vetting process does a "high value" man use to ensure he would find diamonds in a dump? Inspecting her pictures? Photoshopped, filtered, angles, taken years prior to weight gain and multiple cawks? What type of desperate goof just runs out the door to meet anyone off of a second message of "her" (if it's not another dude trolling as a woman) saying yes to meet? Is this the vetting process for self-proclaimed high value men to meet women off a notorious trash magnet website?

Do you just walk into a store and just purchase a product because the package looks good? Or do you at least research it before bringing it home?

We've hit some all time lows if take what you can get quick as you can is considered "quality" these days.

Someone here will say “even the hotties you meet at clubs have STDs blah blah blah”. And it’s probably true as well. I just feel like the whole nature of tinder makes it such that women can meet a dozen men per week and that sickens me.

Haven't been on POF but I've found some very well educated doctors, dentists, lawyers etc on OLD sites for the same reasons I described above (CMB and Match).

I agree with OP to an extent. I think free OLD are for younger people, under 22 years of age. I've had some success on Tinder but nothing to brag about. I personally have not tried a paid OLD though so can't speak for those.

Idk man... after avoiding OLD for years, I finally dipped my feet again with several apps and sites this summer.

The two you mentioned initially showed a good volume of matches. I exchanged a few DMs, sent out messages to all my matches. What do I get? Profile views / drive bys. No reply/radio silence = <50 interest level.

I work out daily at a kickboxing gym, lift weights, and fit in some cardio so I'm active throughout the day. I'm not over 6 feet, not crazy ripped. I'm not a Chad, though I consider myself tone/athletic body build.

My typical match that have liked my profile so far are 40+, ugly, and round women.

I've had some chat convos go decent. Not a ton of humor on eharmony as most are looking for a serious LTR. It's them getting to know you a little so you can exchange #s and set up a date.

When I feel right in the convo, I relay that I'm busy but would like to break free and meet for drinks. They respond by ghosting or radio silence at my date offer. WTF?

I have found that the same women on Match are on eHarmony, Bumble, CMB and OkCupid. There is not different quality from any of these four. Thus, I've come to the conclusion that it's no longer worth paying for membership on Match or eHarmony since the same women are on Bumble, CMB and OKCupid for free. I've actually reached out to the same women from Match, who've looked at me, winked or even messaged, but then jetted on OKCupid or Bumble and met up with them. Strange. I cannot speak for Tinder or POF.

My advice, reach out, hear back, banter for two or three messages, ask for their #, intro, setup date, meet and see what happens. Just, wear protection and no oral. Who knows what some of these creatures are carrying these days. I often wonder what it feels like to have a carefree state of mind which many women nowadays seem to have towards dating and sex. #Noconsequences.

I've banged maybe 4 girls from POF, but most of it back in the day when they had a subject line so I could stand out. I dated and fooled around with more, and they were generally very hot in all cases. But it is a dump these days. There are also tons of scammers on there. Well if my friend is a data point, it seems that women become very aggressive about asking their friends/acquaintances if they know anyone decent to set them up with. And by that age, decent does not include the attribute "Chad". This guy just goes about his Cheers-like (i.e., the '80s TV series) regularity, and as he meets new folks, they inevitably set him up on a date. These women are sometimes barren, sometimes with teenagers, and sometimes grannies. He has a power over these women that is very much akin to the power than young women have over men - i.e., one slip-up and she's history. He doesn't even have to be the sexual aggressor, as they basically give the hint by "dressing up in something comfortable". I think he's been shacking up with his current gal (barren), so he's now "taken".

Well, as @Dash Riprock, says, I am a bit sensitive when it comes with STDs. I now mostly skip the oral, as it amazes me how many go from kissing, right to BJs and 69's. If I were to enter into a LTR or a STR (longer than a few weeks), I'd need to get an STD panel from the woman. Then again, with women's promiscuity these days, there's no guarantee that she's not getting filled up on the side. I still find it amazing sometimes how many miles some of these women have. It's not just the hot ones anymore, it even average or below. Shameful.
