I'm supposed to respect the "social status" of someone who does something that is neither impressive nor important?

Playing guitar is just as much a skill as flipping houses, and you can make money with either. So I don't see how you can dismiss it as unimpressive. With the former, a certain amount of charisma can also be a help when it comes to performing on stage. Anything involving actually interacting with another human where there is NO money is exchanged is TERRIFYING to him.

So any suggestions of this sort will be summarily dismissed, as he is too terrified to even contemplate them.

You don't have to be a pro to make a decent buck.

It's not unusual for each member of a house band for a popular venue to pull in $300 to a grand for an hour or two of playing, depending on the venue and night.

I know a few guys on the semi-pro level who have a room full of instruments worth about as much as your average flipped house, never mind your profit margin. They travel North America and Europe regularly, and they're just touring with bands that were big 20 years ago. They aren't even that good, IMO. They couldn't write a good hook if their d*cks depended on it.

Anybody who has $200,000 worth of instruments is a fool.

Or become a successful musician. Or even if they do it as a hobby, there are definitely a lot of adults who play music - it's hardly a children's hobby. I know backbreaker says he plays piano because he finds it relaxing. Playing music can be a great stress reliever. Also, there's nothing wrong with the rock genre, but you know, not all guitarists play rock music.

This proves my point. All your human relationships involve financial transactions of some kind.

Success with females require you have social skills beyond interpersonal relationships based on financial transactions.

Talking to people whose job requires they be nice to customers (bartenders, strippers, people at home depot, etc.) doesn't really count.

Do you have friends you enjoy spending time with?

Do you ever have extended conversations with anybody when there is no reason to have the conversation other than some kind of financial arrangement?

Working on your social skills would give you much more improvement than buying a lambo.

If you took the lambo $$ and spent it on social skills, personality, etc., it would be a much better investment.

So the frogman wants status? Simple. Run for public office. Whether you win or lose (better to win), you will have status. Either as the winner or as the contender. A lambo won't do it. Many ex-cons run and are elected to office. It shouldn't hold you back. Prob. best to stop hiring hookers and paying for pvssy on SA first though. Those reporters are rough.
