OK guys, I am new here. Going through a divorce after a 21 year marriage. Was thinking of going MGTOW for a while, but f*ck that. She is having her fun so why should I sit home, right?

I've been browsing some of the online dating sites and I'm curious to the opinions of anyone that has had any experience with these sites. It seems to me that many of the women in the age group that I am searching (35-48 yr. olds - I am 45) are all looking for husbands, princes or both...

Also, how reliable are the photos and the information provided...

Thanks...

My experience with OLD, if her profile consists of,

Link to her instagram or snachat= Attention *****, most likely will never meet up.
Penpals need not apply= good chance of meeting up if you dont say anything stupid.
Photos taken from above or just pics of her face/no body shots= overweight
Looking for someone who is financially stable= gold digger
Been to over 30 countries blah blah blah= attention *****, look at me and all the places I have visted! high chance of flaking.

They pretty much all suck. Ask for a date pretty soon in the conversation. If she wants to chat longer to get to know each other she uses you for validation. Move on to the next girl. If she declines move on to the next girl. Be prepared to experience a lot of this.

Women are done with the c0ck carrousel at those ages and they're looking for a beta provider to support them financially. That's the last thing you want to do right after a divorce (unless you're LOOKING for pain).

Why not bang some younger women?

Hey, brother.

You're right, at 45 y/old the LAST thing, let me re-phase that, I will never settle down and get married again. My issue is that I have been out of the game for 21 years and had let myself go. December 1st, 2017 I was 248. I'm 5'8. I've been strict on my eating and hitting the gym since 12/1. I woke up this morning at 206. Progress, yes, but a long way to go.

All that said, I am newly red-pilled and a rookie at having game. I have been reading blogs and books like crazy. Last night, I did my 1st cold approach at the gym. A girl and I were exchanging eye contact throughout the night. As I was ready to leave the gym, I remembered a quote from this site. "Rejection is better than regret" I approached and had a brief conversation. Needless to say, I f*cked it up because within 2 minutes, I straight asked if she had a boyfriend, to which she replied, "I'm talking to someone but he's not my boyfriend." This threw me off and I pretty much ended the conversation at that point. In retrospect, I think I could have pushed through that and got her number, but I didn't because I was nervous and didn't know what to say. She was 25.

Even though I didn't get the desired result, just making the approach was huge for me. (1st one in 21 years)

Any advice?

Set your profile age younger.....say 38......that way you can still search women in their mid to late 20s.

Have good pics. Give off a good vibe, yet keep your messages short. Have an outcome indifferent mindset (if I go out with her great, if not great).

Be charismatic yet not too talkative so that you remain somewhat mysterious.

Have conversations, not interviews.

Last but not least, once you get into a decent convo with a chick that interests you, get to the point BEFORE the convo gets boring through messaging on the site. "Hey I have to run but I'd like to keep the convo with you going. Let's meet for drinks at such and such place Thursday evening". This way you build a little rapport but get to what matters which is meeting up and not wasting time endlessly messaging women on there.

1. Holly smokes, that is a lot of weight. Well done.
2. Props on approaching the girl at the gym. You didn't f*ck up; you're getting back in the game. "I'm talking to someone but he's not my boyfriend" could mean "I'm available" depending on her non-verbals and tone. Heck, there are a lot of guys in this forum whom are all talk but no walk. Give yourself some credit. You'll see her again. Build on the rapport you had and get her number next time.

3. Here's a thread on how I'm gaining muscle and losing fat:

4. Must read book:

5. This book is about all the sh*t women do to mess with your head. Learn the moves. Interestingly, they respond well to their own medicine ; ]
