I always enjoy listening to house music to relax, house music is now a world wide genre, however the original stuff comes out of Chicago, Illinois USA. If Chicago Dj’s or house music enthusiast don’t approve of house music produced elsewher, then it is not house music . Here is one of many mixes made in Chicago, also new wave and alternative music was a big movement that made groups like Depeche Mode, OMD, The Cure, Pet Shop Boys etc... very popular.

You from chicago? House Music was big here

Jack Johnson for laid back peace out surfer music. If you like UK sounds you could try trip hop. Portishead, Massive Attack and Morcheeba are three of the greats. They w made electronic music which just sounds like music. From Australia Angus and Julia Stone are cruisy. We also have a ton of electronic acts like Flight Facilities Tame Impala cut copy, and flume.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

you guys should try some Aussie hip hop. It's actually got a sense of humour and they don't talk about their d1cks all the time.

I'm having a rare mental health day because my new jobs p1ssed me off so much so I might just raise a finger to the man and play this loud.

I like to put this on when I'm lying in bed thinking about life right before I go to sleep. Just gets me in the chilled mood I need to nod off.

Hahaha okay silliness aside, Buckethead has some relaxing songs.

Also Portishead for "Roads" and "Glory Box", both of which are chilled and the latter is also kinda sexy.

Not sure why every artist that produces chilled songs has "head" in the title. I guess head just has relaxing connotations... *cough*

This one is calming for me. It’s repetitive but I still like it:

This is also a good one I found recently too:

There’s an artist out there called Blackmill. His older songs are actually pretty soothing too. I listen mostly to EDM so there’s not really much lyrics. Just the music. There’s this one YouTube channel called MrSuicideSheep who uploads a bunch of music that is predominantly calmer type stuff now. He has another channel called SuicideSheeep (yes, with 3 e’s) for whatever reason and is pretty much the same thing except without copyright I’m pretty sure, meaning it’s free.

This one is a really calming one I haven’t listened to in a while:

There’s definitely some others I can think of but SS won’t let me post more than 3 videos. Here’s a list:

YME - Rmx of a Rmx
Tarro - Waveboard
Anything by the artist Oh Wonder, EDEN, or MitiS
Jetta - I’d Love to Change the World (Matstubs Remix). The original for this one is bleh. The Remix is pretty good imo. One in particular that I like from here guys is
Warsongs: The Boy Who Shattered Time (MitiS Remix)
The Glitch Mob has some that could be considered as calming depending on the person.
Feint - Lift (I was addicted to this one for a few months personally)
Draper - Pressure ft. Laura Brehm
SizzleBird - Elixir
Revive Us - Campfire Anthem
Tom Day - Who We Want To Be (anything by Tom Day really)
Wiz Khalifa - The Plan

The last one is rap so it’s a bit different but it’s a calming one for me because he is talking in a reflective way. He talks about money and all that like most rappers, but it’s just a representation of him saying how he never expected to get so famous.

Hell yeah. What’s your favorite song?
I could mention quite a few actually.

Pink Floyd (practically all their songs) but specifically the album "Animals", Keep talking, Sorrow + a lot more from them

The Doors - everything (my favourite band ever, I have 2 of Jim's 3 poetry books, love him, my arm tattoo is the LizardKing, he was the LizardKing) :)

Rainbow, specifically Rainbow eyes + Catch the rainbow + a lot more, just got to love Dio

AC/DC, everything (watched them live in Spielberg, Austria in 2015, one of the best times of my life)

Piano music, Ludovico Einaudi (Divenire, Una mattina, Nuvole bianche) + Yann Tiersen - Naval + other songs

Classical music, Schopin, Beethoven, Shostakovich, etc

Dire Straits are legends, absolutely everything from them.

Black Sabbath, the calm songs like Planet Caravan and Loner

Elvis Presley, the calm songs

Piano music
Sometimes I’ll listen to piano covers for songs that I already have just to see how it is. You get some pretty wacky things with the dubstep ones though, but they’re pretty cool too still. It makes it sound a lot ‘cleaner’, but maybe it’s just me.
