For most of my life I've been shy and quiet, will unfortunately led people to not socialise with me or get asked out of events, parties etc. Because they think it would be weird to socialise with me and other people would make fun of them.
I went to one event alone and the people did not want to shake my hand or engage with me, this happened another time too.
Simply put, they shook all the people's hand's around me, engaged with them, looked at me and ostracised me, BECAUSE they follow the crowd. I could be getting beaten up and they wouldn't have stood up for me because they are scared of losing power etc.
I'm always the one shaking people's hands first and engaging with them. Even on FB I say HB to most of them and they don't do it to mine or like my posts back.
What I'm trying to get at is people follow the crowd and that's why they talk to certain people. If you are in the crowd then they will come straight up and talk to you.
There are some guys who I see often who are not successful but popular and socialise with everyone. People basically follow the crowd. They follow whoever is popular and whoever seems to be 'it'.
You know what I mean, its like in school people will respect 'the crowd' and if they disrespect someone even though they know its wrong, they will never stand up for the disrespected person because they want to be in the crowd.
The question is, what happens when I become more successful then them and they see me engaging with people who are popular?
Will these people who shun/disrespect me continue to follow the 'crowd'? Even though the people in the crowd are unsuccessful and have nothing much going in their life?
Simply put, will the sheep still jump on the bandwagon? Even though I could be more successful and have more going in my life?
