Origin of “Red Pill”?

I found a 2006 post here referring to “Red Pill”, but the term is not even mentioned in Neil Strauss’s 2005 book The Game. Obviously the metaphor originated in The Matrix movie. But who popularized this term’s application to understanding women?

I feel like the “red pill” is a pessimistic backlash from men finding out “pua” and “game theory” was just a scam. In addition, these men tend to be the lowest of the denominator with a huge ego that feel like they deserve a woman. As a result, these men did not grow up from the “pua” phase and just learned to blame women for all their problems in life.

It was gradual. Just sorta happened over time, and now it’s more or less a meme at this point. At least on this site anyway. It’s just a reference to a way of thinking really.

I'm not sure who coined the terminology, but I can tell you that there were posters on this forum - and I'm sure elsewhere - that were espousing red-pill knowledge before it was a thing.

Men have been getting screwed over by the courts for a long time, and many of them found a release here. KontrollerX and burroughs were spitting red-pill sh1t more than a decade ago. It was almost sacrilege at the time.

Don't concern yourself too much with the beginnings. Just take the lessons to heart and find your own way.

Yes, but real men accept women for how they are and adapt. Real men take responsibility for their actions and continue to live life happily. Real men don’t blame spilled milk on feminism influencing gravity. These red pill men are extremely arrogant and continue you blame any problem they have on feminism and women. Sometimes, this can even extend to racism/anti semetism such as Jews control the world, the destruction of the west by Jews, Brown races, women, homosexuals...etc

It’s obvious that you don’t have a true understanding of red pill.

You should do some research/reading on the subject before you state other inaccuracies about red pill.

A good place to start is with Rollo, he was very active on this forum at one time. His blog: therationalmale.com is a wealth of information. I would start with the best of year one.

It wasn't men that couldn't get laid that came up with red-pill thinking. That may have been what started PUA theory, however.

You're leaving out the man that demands attention by his mere presence. You don't need looks, money or status to achieve this. All you need is masculinity, confidence and an outgoing (even if feigned) personality.

The Wachovski brothers, who are now the Wachovski sisters after both having sex changes, have always been pieces of sh!t. They sponsored a short story contest for a small cash prize, because they have no creative talent of their own. The winning story was The Matrix, written by a black woman (that's why The Oracle is a black woman in the ghetto). They paid her a few hundred bucks, then made a few hundred million off of her story. The movie was a product of AOL-Time Warner, which also owns a sizeable chunk of media and news sites, which is part of why nothing was ever said about the Wachovski brothers being lying thieves.

Again, real men learn from their mistakes and move on. If you get screwed over by a woman it’s a two way problem. These men refuse to learn from their mistakes or better themselves so they resort to this sexist/racist ideology as a coping mechanism.
