it's almost amazing how that works. Most of us here are amazing socially around fat or ugly women because we just don't care...then many of us tend to freeze up or act awkward or unnatural around hot girls

IMO it takes a tremendous amount of self trust and self confidence to 100% not care about outcome around hot women. You have to believe that they will like you if you just behave like your normal self and that you never have to impress them or do anything unusual.

Your SMV will determine her interest level from the start. Your SMV is based on her standard for looks, MONEY and status and if you fit that standard or not. I explained this to my 14yo daughter. she understands what I am saying but isn’t quite at this point yet in her life where she truly doesn’t care. It’s probably harder to do for females, I am guessing. I didn’t reach it till late 30s so if I can help her get there by even 18-21 I will be an accomplished dad.

Same here with my 17y/o son.I tried to explain him this fundamental basic view on life, but it's like talking to the wall, lol. But I understand his resentment. To reach to that place and have this DGAF mindset, takes time , a lot of experience and solid confidence in yourself,.which 17y/o boy obviously don't have yet .

Its hard to convince a kid whos marks are chosen from a teacher and his social life chosen from his classmates that what others think doesnt matter.

I agree with your message but at the same time I believe in certain age groups, we have different settings.

In my personal case I had my father telling me the same when I was a kid, but he was a skinnyfat old man with nothing in his life except work...I received his message as a stupid decision given the outcome.

Right now I need to lose a ton of weight after surgery and chemo. I tell myself it's because summer is coming and all my cool clothes won't fit, not to mention I skipped last summer entirely thanks to my condition. I tell myself it's purely for my own enjoyment. The reality? I wanna look good so folks will give me props/respect, because my confidence soars when I know I look good, and ironically I act a lot more "IDGAF" when I do.

In the modern world its all about looks, MONEY and status.

There was a time when deeper qualities carried more weight. But with technology and all the options we have today.. people just don't need each other on the same level they once did. So relationships mostly come down to COMPATIBILITY now. With dating, it comes down to looks, MONEY and status to get laid and COMPATIBILITY to keep a woman around.
