In my experience: You back off, she misses you. You text, you got 50/50 chance of shooting yourself in the foot.
Challenge always wins.

Maybe this works with 22 year olds but you try that with older women they'll drop you like a bad habit.

if you just met the girl and think you're being a challenge by never texting her that's really dumb but if you guys started dating already and you keep texting sparse that's actually a good idea depending on the girl (only works on girls used to a legion of thirsty betas)

I never bring up the topic of sex through text. That's her job. The only time I'm gonna do 5hit like that is if I'm sexting her and I know she's not going to see me that night.
