My sister tells me to meet her and her two friends (a couple, I know them) and someone else, she jokes she will be my date.

I get there, my sis is held up somewhere else and ... my "date" is a hot 29yr old!!

I chat her up, 12 o clock we give each other a nice warm hug... then she says shes going down for a smoke, I don't want to lose what I ahve going so I go down with her, talk and flirt again, then we come back up, some guy hits on her... she starts chatting with him, he buys her a drink and before I know it I'm the odd ****ing idiot there.

Just feeling like a ****ing idiot now.

You don't need a guide. Just be focused on yourself, it's that easy. Have the mindset of "I don't need anyone I don't want, I don't need to do anything I don't want to do, and I will be who I want to be". I just laid it out for you in one sentence.

In social settings like this, women will lead you on just because they like the attention; they like other people seeing that they're being sought after.

Original poster, your best bet is to start escalating early on in the interaction by ramping up kino, sexual innuendos etc. You may get shot down sooner, but you won't waste your entire night on a broad.

Kino. You make a point to make physical contact with a woman. Not too much at first, because you'll freak her out. You have to escalate.

I usually start by softly pinching their arm or gently grabbing their wrist or hand when I'm saying something...like I'm adding emphasis to what I'm saying.

The next time, I might squeeze her knee during a joke.

Act like she has a stray hair and rub your hand against the side of her head like you're getting it straight. Then say, "that hair was bothering me."

Putting your hand on the small of their back when walking in a crowded place is an easy go to.

You get the idea. If they keep responding, you keep escalating. If they don't, you bug off and move on to the next one.
