I'm going to start working out simply for aesthetic purposes. I will probably skip legs. I have limited time as I dedicate nearly all my time to house flipping.

Triceps, biceps, shoulders, chest, and abs.

There are about a million different workout plans out there. How do I know what to choose? Or perhaps get a personal trainer off Thumbtack.

Dont skip legs, our bodies grow proportionally plus training legs will help with your overall health and balance that will help to build muscles in other districts.

How can you perform standing barbell rows for back if your legs lack strenght and balance to keep your correct posture?

Anyway if you start from nothing, you will see great results for the first month even with below average training habits.

Don't skip legs lol. Unless you want chicken legs. Look for a bodybuilding program on the bb forums to start off, then make some adjustments to your liking as you gain more experience. And don't forget about working out your back too. If you neglect it, your shoulders will be hunched over cause your chest muscles will be too tight.

I'll get a trainer and follow his advice.

I just hope it's not a waste of time, because it is a large commitment of time and energy.

I wouldn't call exercising a waste of time. You just have to commit to it. It'll be rough at first as your body gets used to it, but its smooth sailing after about 2 weeks.

Burpees and pull-ups got me pretty ripped.

I call it the lazy man's workout because you really only need 15 minutes a day and its very easy to fit into a busy schedule. Of course you need to combine it with good diet.

Do burpees until you can't do them anymore every other day. They are exhausting to do and you will feel dead after just doing 30-40.

Other tips:
  1. Cut back on sugar.
  2. Drink lots of water.
  3. Get at least 7 hours of sleep a night.
  4. Eat oatmeal and broccoli every other day
  5. Relax with red wine instead of beer

Waste of time meaning that it wouldn't attract more females. I've heard that it takes 6-12 months to make large gains.

There are a lot of benefits to being fit outside of attracting women though.
  1. Better general health
  2. More energy
  3. Get sick less
  4. More men are afraid to fight you
  5. If you need to sprint to catch flight or walk up several flights of stairs in an emergency, you can do it easily.
  6. Less age related pain
  7. Slower aging process
  8. Better physical appearance
  9. Clothes fit better and look better
  10. Comes in handy when moving furniture
  11. Don't get injured as easily
There are so many benefits I didn't know about until I got in really good shape. Its worth it.

Quickest way is taking steroids probably. I prefer just eating well and training frequently. :)

How old are you?

It does help attract women, to some extent. But don't expect them to flock all over you just because you have big muscles. Be well groomed, dress nicely, appear confident, have a don't give a f*ck attitude and you'll catch some eyes

Paying them seems so much easier.

I doubt I could get the same kind of sex from a relationship than I could from a hooker. Only difference is you have to wear a condom.

It's not like a girl is going to want to spend her life as my sex slave. And that's all I want from them.

I'm early 30's. Not wealthy, just doing much better than average for my age.

I'm in better shape now than in my 20's. I naturally had a decent body already in my 20's just not much muscle because I didn't work out. But I have a good face (I'm told I look like Johnny Depp, but I don't see it) so I didn't see a major spike when I got in better shape. Nothing really changed until I started making great MONEY. But even that is more related to having more access to HOT women due to the connections and locations MONEY takes me and being able to live in a nice neighborhood (which HOT women prefer).

Where do you live? How much do you make in a year? Do you have a large house? What is your job?

I want to make money flipping houses, but that doesn't connect me with anyone other than the cashier at Home Depot. I don't use realtors.

Genetics plays a big part in muscle building, if you don't have the genetics its hard for a person to build muscle. Myself I'm not ripped but I'm not excessively fat either. I'm a 5'9" guy I weigh 195 pounds I maybe have at most 5 pounds of fat to lose and I would be at a fairly low BF%. I used to be 240 pounds had a lot of stress in my life for a good 5 years I stress ate, I didn't have active job either I traded in my construction career for an office job for 12 years.

I'm back in construction so I'm active again, I have to watch what I eat because I can gain fat easily but I also gain muscle mass quickly as well I don't want to get any muscle wise its a ***** to get jeans to fit when your a 34 inch waist but the legs and thighs are tight. I have to wear large shirts my shoulder span is too wide for anything smaller.

To be honest I find women prefer average built guys even when I was overweight I still had women flirting with me, its all about your demeanor if you don't show any confidence your not going to get any attention from women. The way I dress is cowboy style, jeans and button up western style shirt. I'm not some guys that are wearing fvking sweat pants, women like men that dress like men. I find women can be intimidated of me because the way I'm, most young guys I see out there are jam tarts.

Be yourself its all you can do, if your a hard gainer you have to work at it to build muscle, I've never had that problem, keeping myself from getting fat is my problem. To gain muscle you have to eat, to keep yourself from getting fat you have to work out or be active.

Agree with the others who said don't skip legs. Nothing looks stranger than a guy with a strong torso and skinny legs. When you get some nice defined quads and calves you can take pride in them also, and you'll look better in shorts. Besides, our biggest muscles are in our legs, so building them up burns extra fat and is a source of a lot of power.

Yeah that isnt something a person who hasmt maximized their genetic potential by training at least 4 or 5 years should look into.

It would be a waste of time.
