Lol, so much hyperbole in this response. I'm not even going through this to tear it a part, it's honestly not even worth the time in doing. But before we all exit, let's just look at this one quote below from Be Excellent:The answer to why is marriage smart is obviously IT DEPENDS. On what it depends has everything to do with the two people in the individual decision, nothing more.
The "give me FACTS group" cannot grasp that generalizations and back end statistics DO NOT APPLY in forward thinking subjective decisions. I mean using that logic, we are ALL going to die, and none of us know when. So under the logic of Urbanyst and Tenacity we may as well give up now and all kill ourselves because we will all be worm fodder in the end one of these days. Y'all are FATALISTS and cannot imagine anybody being happy being married. Well SURPRISE! Millions of people are and the reason they are is they do not suffer from the fatalistic view you guys have. That FATALISTIC VIEW is why you have failed to this point to meet worthwhile women, and you'll continue to fail for as long as you retain that mindset. I 100% GUARANTEE it.
Whether or not to get married and who to get married to and what value it has are all entirely SUBJECTIVE. That is why nobody can accurately predict whether any one individual marriage will fall into the 50% that succeed or the 50% that fail (and that's allowing your assumption, which I disagree with that 50% of marriages fail, which is a debatable statistic even among people who research this sort of thing.)
Lots of men in this thread understand that their individual lives are not determined by back end statistics. Those are the many men who have said, "Sure, I'd get married under the right circumstances." That means of course, contingent on picking out the right partner, something Tenacity and Urbanyst (who can't even get a GF for a year), STINK at doing.
Not ONE of you who say you have won the argument (it's a discussion you dim wits, not a win/lose contest) can account for all the SUCCESSFUL marriages out there. Oh you'll discount them and say "Oh well those guys aren't happy, etc. etc. etc.", but in fact I deal with married couples every day through my professional endeavors as well as know many personally who are deeply satisfied, happy, and grateful for their marriages. You can't deny the prevalence of marriage and you can't deny that there are plenty of nameless, faceless, happily married people in the world. Y'all aren't among them. Awwwwwwww.
And I'm not either, but I don't care. I'm not going around asking questions out of bitterness for the purpose of ridiculing people on an anonymous internet form. I think it's HYSTERICAL that you guys are this hung up and invested in these other men who DO want to be married someday. Y'all are the crabs pulling the other guys back down because God forbid, someone you see as an equal gets a better result out of life than you are getting.
Your toxic attitudes completely block your own happiness. Otherwise you'd just be happy to spin plates here for the rest of your days like deesade or RangerMike. Those guys are not here shaming anybody one way or another, they could care less.
So if you think getting married is a bad deal under any and all circumstances...Super simple folks... . Don't do it. Nobody cares if you do or not at the end of the day anyway.
But to call for FACTS when FACTS are irrelevant? Utterly adolescent logic (or, well, lack thereof.) You cannot use back end generalized statistics to evaluate subjective individual decisions and their merits. The merits are subjective and therefore irrespective of whatever FACTS you think you want to see.
So you are asking the wrong question in asking for fact. And you can't even recognize the folly of your line of reasoning. No wonder you get the results you do, LOL.
So gentlemen there you have it. FACTS, stats, data, and logic are IRRELEVANT. Instead, it's all about the "subjective" (or in other words "emotional") individual decisions of a person. This line of thinking is how:But to call for FACTS when FACTS are irrelevant? Utterly adolescent logic (or, well, lack thereof.) You cannot use back end generalized statistics to evaluate subjective individual decisions and their merits. The merits are subjective and therefore irrespective of whatever FACTS you think you want to see.
- People get scammed by late night infomercials
- People get scammed by colleges, majoring in something that has no marketplace skill
- People get scammed by con-artists pushing snake oil
- People get scammed by the Law Of Attraction con-artists
- People get scammed by the Prosperity Gospel Church Pastors
- People get scammed by Politicans
- And lastly, how people get scammed into signing a Marriage contract which FACTS, stats, data, and logic would clearly lead one to conclude makes no sense whatsoever.
