Should I Drop This Hot Plate?

I currently have 2 plates spinning (thanks SS!) and the one I am most into has been giving me some serious IOIs lately. I decided this week that I was going to hang out with her and escalate, but before I could offer the plan, she asked me to spend the weekend with her and her some friends. Cool I thought. This will be a great time to hook up.

I told her I couldn't do this weekend, so she rescheduled the trip for a few weekends from now when I could make it... Then two things happened in short succession that made me think I should let this one go:

1) I found out her age and I was shocked. She's 22. I'm 32. She is beautiful and looks a few years older. I am in good shape and have been told that I look like I'm in my late 20s. She doesn't know my actual age.

2) There were some girls and guys on the invitation, but once the acceptances / declines starting rolling in, it ended up being a bunch of dudes and her.

I haven't accepted or declined, but I know she's going to be pressing soon about it.

There's a weird factor with a decade age difference right? And a trip with all dudes and one chick?

Given that I have another plate going, I'm thinking I let this one drop. Thoughts?

1.) Age is irrelevant. Most women in their mid 20s would much rather go out with older guys. If it comes up, it will only be an issue if you act weird about it and make it a big deal.

2.) Figure out something else to do besides this trip. Come up with a better option with just the 2 of you.

Take it from a 40 yr old that still dates 25-32 year olds only. Age makes no difference and is actually in your favor with her for many logical reasons.

I wouldn't drop it based on age. I'd just recommend never lying about your age. If it comes up, be confident and upfront about it. "Yeah, I'm 32"

People always go with how you feel/act and how you look for your 'age'. The number means really nothing (thankfully). I say my age directly (29) - people seem to be surprised in a positive way. Much more so I think nowadays, now that I'm keeping fit, shaved, etc.

As a comparison, I can definitely find multiple 20 year old guys who looks like he's pressing 30-40 (in a bad way)... maybe totally scruffed, or flabby/nerdy body, with bad posture... in comparison, a 35 year old with proper care, posture, way of handling themselves, etc. - will be far superior. That goes for girls as well.

Yeah I'm not going on this trip. I'm going to ask her to do something another day just the two of us. I'll try and gauge maturity etc.

There are a couple names on that list that are absolute beta orbiters. I refuse to be one of those and have never acted that way. I feel like participating in an event like that is a great way to fall into the orbit cycle. Never have done that not starting that now.
