A guy I met 14 years ago he wasn't married yet he was 44 at the time got married to a woman shortly after, he was with her for only a year his family didn't even know her. He was thinking with the wrong head, she was good looking she was 30 years old, probably banging his brains out. I sensed she had issues when I met her, with the knowledge I have now and the same traits I see in her presently she's NPD she's got deep rooted insecurity issues. She wanted children she wanted the ring on her finger she needed him to help her so she could get her career moving.
Fast forward to today he's an old man the stress of life has taken its toll on him he's not the vibrant man I met 14 years ago. Watching him from a distance the other day, I don't see him too often he lives in a different town. I can tell in the last couple years he's really aged, another guy that knows him says they have big debt, they make good money but they also spend a lot of money.
The point of this post is don't make wrong decisions when your in your 40s, I don't want to be in the position where this guy is when I'm his age. He's 58 years old has kids young enough he could be called their grandfather. His wife who is till young enough to find another man, she's always trying to flaunt off her body to other guys. She could run off with another man and leave him in the cleaners if he doesn't give her what she wants.
I made some bad choices in my 30s, I got trapped in a bad career choice for 12 years, I'm 41 now trying to rebuild my life and back in a career I shouldn't ever left. I'm making wiser decisions and looking towards the future. No hope in hell would I want to be having children in my 40s I know I missed the boat on that one. I was career oriented in my 20s and 30s settling down and having children wasn't in my plans I wanted to learn skills and work in the trades. I'm single today I don't see myself having a woman in my life, I had a BPD in my life for 2.5 years. Most of the women out there today are not worth it. I'm living my life the way I want it and I'm enjoying life.
Watching what happened to this guy I talked about getting involved with a 30 year old woman with her clock ticking wanting kids. I look at him today if he didn't get involved with her he would be thinking of retirement living a good life.
Make wise choices as you get older it can come back and bite you in the ass screwing up your future.
