What is there to be so bitter about?

I can understand new guys being bitter because they haven't been getting laid, life hasn't been going their way....fine.

But it seems there are just as many guys supposedly doing well with women who are just as bitter. Guys who claim they are on the path of success, preach about being the better man, talk about having standards.... push the ideologies of what a good man should be. Yet many of these same guys are slinging mud, insulting people, belittling the opinions and experiences others share....

Why?

I'm not complaining about the state of the forum. Different experiences, different conclusions and different beliefs are what make a forum like this interesting. It would be boring if everyone agreed on everything.

I just don't understand that if you're doing so well in life, doing so well with women, what is there to be so bitter and confrontational about? Its an honest question.

Translation: The worlds not the way that I think it should be, therefor I'm going to sulk indefinitely in my room like the social outcast of an introvert that I am, develop a pompous, delusional air of "I AM THE PRIZE" and make out like I'm not actually interested and above all of the human trash that's outside my door that I so long to be a part of. If I was honest with my self I would say that my failure with women and the human race in general, is down to me being a social recluse and not having the balls to talk to people. But no, I will remain celibate and keep posting negative crap and stupid fvcking cutie pie memes on every thread which reveal my beta nature. All the while my audience seems to lap it up..........

OP is bitter about people acting bitter?
No. He's curious.

I suppose we could try to understand at what stage of the grieving period every poster is at. Every man is entitled to
his anger, especially if he has been lied to all of his life..

However, that been said.....the grieving process is something that needs to be gone through, not lived indefinitely...

They say that when someone dies, it's healthy and normal to go through a grieving process. Nonetheless, after a certain period of time has passed and you are still grieving, it's not longer about the dead person, you'v made it about you.

Grieving.......healthy
Making about you.......selfish and a refusal to live.

What's happening is civility is breaking down. A good example of this is the political scene in the US. There is no common logic, or culture, which would enable people to engage with one another at the level of intelligent play.

People have become too serious. It's an infection of the mind, and an inflation of the ego, called ideology. In ideology, universal and rational [previously religious] culture splinters into particular parties concerned with their own power.

Without the over-arching rational idea, which might unify all our differences, and which we might see ourselves falling short of anyway, we devolve into a cacophony of who can shout the loudest.

And the internet only serves to exacerbate this. Though ideally we have unlimited information/ knowledge at our fingertips, the practice is that we all tend to subscribe to our own particular narrow bandwidth. And that is not empowering but disempowering... because it leads to a poverty of mind.

As Ruskin once said, 'There is no Wealth but Life.'

There is a difference. I am enjoying moderate success so I don't fit into either.

Some dudes here, even with big egos, are still willing to help other dudes. Willing to use this place as the place it is intended to be - a forum.

There are a good few posters who I actually believe their claims, mainly because they clearly are NOT lording it. When you have multiple plates or bagged a unicorn (an actual hot and decent woman) then you don't give a shyt, you are more likely to help others.

If you have internal dialogue which lacks esteem, you will continually make assertions that you are the greatest, you will put down your fellow man, you bicker and bytch like a woman.

I am guilty of running into disputes and arguments. I sometimes post hopelessly whiney crap when I fvck up or get dumped. However, I do not put myself up there as some Mr Miagi type figure. I generally offer advice with the caveat of "I am no expert"

You can tell the genuines from the fakes. It;s not just ego, some of the genuines have some ego, it's their attitude towards others and what they use the forum for - banter/discussion place, or just a place to point fingers at dudes learning the trade of manhood and say "see - I am better than you!"

All you need to know is, people who act like an @ss online is neither balanced, happy or have grown as a person through their lifetime. There's nothing much more to it than that. They are not happy people.

Your definition of "acting like an @ss" may differ from another man's definition of acting like an @ss..

Remember: Different value systems

For example, I saw a comment yesterday where one poster observed that what another poster had written (something to do with fits of anger) was not very Alpha like......

So how did the person who receive this comment "not very Alpha" PERCEIVE said comment? He could have saw it many ways....constructive criticism? helpful? tough love? Not important? inconsequential? Interesting? Incorrect? A myriad of options....

....however, he chose to receive it as ABUSE. ......

who's right????? DIFFERENT PERCEPTIONS....................DIFFERENT VALUE SYSTEMS

For example, I could see your statement as very black and white thinking, which demonstrates a limited structured mind.

Anyway, I don't think English is your first language. I reckon it's Spanish.

Perceived insults vs real insults is sometimes a fine line and is indeed a matter of perception. Sometimes it's not and the intent is clear. "Hahaha what a loser" for instance is pretty clear. Sometimes it's just sh!t tests between guys. I've seen plenty of instances of sensitive posters taking things the wrong way so I know what you are getting at.

Danish actually, so you weren't far off English wasn't my first language.
