Here are my thoughts on status. You will either think this makes perfect sense, or you will think it's nonsense.

To understand what status is, we must first go back in time to medieval Europe. Medieval Europe had a hierarchical structure called feudalism. It had 4 tiers. At the top was the king, below him was the nobility, below them were the knights, and below them were the peasants. Many other parts of the world had systems similar to European feudalism, but I am using Europe as the example because European societies advanced further than any other ones.

The king owned all the land in the kingdom, but he gave some to nobles because it was hard for him to administer such large amount of land. In return, the nobles gave him loyalty and knights in times of war. The nobles gave some of their land to knights in return for military service. The knights gave some of their land to peasants, who produced food for everyone, including themselves.

In a society like this, a persons status is very apparent.

With the invention of gunpowder, the king became more powerful, while the nobility became less powerful, and the knights virtually disappeared. Also, new classes grew such as merchants and artisans, as well as the "priest" class who had existed all along.

Eventually, kings grew more powerful because they controlled the military, as well as the tax revenue.

But kings were replaced by democracy, and true "Presidents" don't have a life term. Normal citizens gained rights, and gained protection from their own military (the U.S. Constitution prohibits the State from forcing citizens to house soldiers, for example), and it is written in many constitutions that civil law supersedes military law. So a soldier cannot get away with murder or theft, for example.

As nice as these changes in society sound, it also created somewhat of a "fake" society, where those who truly created and protected society (those with power, i.e. rulers and military) did not have as much power as they naturally would have.

With industrialization, some merchants became very wealthy and were able to influence the government.

Add to this all the inventions of modern society that detach us from reality even further (television, radio, popular music, etc.) and it is now very hard to see who truly has "status" in society. Truthfully, there is no absolute monarch, and even the military does not have absolute power.

In such a democratic society governed by civil law (as opposed to martial law), the people who are seen to have "status" actually have a very false status. But if enough people believe something is true, it will become true.

So here is a list of some people who have a faux status in society today....

Famous actors/actresses, famous musicians, professional athletes....

Hooters girls, bartenders (both male and female), strippers.....

Business owners, frat guys....

And I'm sure there's a million others, but truthfully they are all citizens under the law.

Or you could use the argument that status=power, so this would mean that the richer you are, the more potential status you have.... although nobody is above the law.

So I'm not sure that "status" really exists other than to people who are too stupid to see through the fakeness of modern society.

Am I supposed to worship the bottle girls working at clubs? I don't think so.

Also, females have a very fake and unnaturally high position in today's society. It's utterly ridiculous.

However, MONEY is the smartest approach to gaining status simply because it automatically solves lots of problems. In some cases, it can even solve the LOOKS problem if you are willing to go under the knife.

If you're not finding ways to put MONEY in your pocket your future is probably going to be grim as far as pulling HOT women goes no matter how many weights you lift or PUA books you read. Because after a certain age MONEY is the only status. A guy in his 40's or 50's who is broke is a LOSER no matter what else he has going on.

I'm only in my early 30's but I'll still give this advice to younger guys. Make MONEY and plan to build something in your life of significance. Don't spend your days sucked into the dysfunctional d*ck measuring contest of "alpha behavior" and other horse sh*t that won't matter in 20 years.

Why do you think immigrants and foreigners are literally BUYING the United States under our feet? Because when they come here they focus on MONEY while we focus on being "hip" posting on Facebook and chasing shallow women. Who do you think will have the edge later in life?

OK, get money, get money, get money, get money, get money so you are in 40s, you can pull HOT women and are not a loser. No hot women will be available or even care you have money at THAT age. They want it when you are young and exciting, not when you are in your 50s.

This. Women feel status; it's not something that they really consciously analyze from a rational perspective. It only exists in the moment.

It's why in restaurants the busboy, who objectively has lower status than any guy there, has more ready access to mating opportunities with the hot waitress than the wealthy patrons (assuming he has confidence & game or looks or is even just the last man standing at 3AM when the waitress is horny).

There is no such thing as the "in crowd" once you leave high school and college. Unless you're talking about Hollywood.

Every city you travel to will have groups of people living in that city who are THRIVING and making lots of money. Its not just one social circle either. You have the artists in one circle, the empire builders in another circle, the "heal the world" people in another circle, the industry leaders in another circle, the different ethnic group inner circles and the list goes on.

There is not this one magical "in crowd" you can join and then every HOT woman suddenly wants to jump in your bed. Wanting to be part of an "in crowd" is for people with the emotional maturity of a teenager. Those high social circles develop due to similar interests and levels of success. People make friends with people who are on their level.

MONEY alone does not give you instant sex appeal. But it is a tool that makes it easier to get around whatever is damaging your sex appeal. What you do with your TIME will impact which women want to date you. Without MONEY, you have limited choices regarding how you spend your time though. I agree......OP is full of horsehockey....I am an old veteran who lives in a hotel with zero social status....lol.... and I don't want any social status I might add.... and I am in an LTR with a hot young real blonde...before her I pulled countless hot YOUNG women back to my room,all the guys that live here look at me with amazement.

There is ALWAYS an in crowd and groups where hot girls run in and associate with, it doesn't end in high school, college, or the 20s. In fact there is always an inner circle of people that includes hot girls, important guys, and important social experiences. Denying it shows me you have no idea of what you are talking about.

You can make a lot of money and still struggle to get hot girls because of this very reason, you have no status in the right crowds.
