This thread is only for the dating app crowd. I know a lot of people here hate dating apps, but I think I have these apps down to a fairly reliable system. Been using Tinder off and on for years. Didn't start with Bumble until a few months ago, but its the same concept.
Not going to waste much time on the obvious stuff like you must have attractive profile pics. If you’re not at least a 6-10 in looks don’t even bother with these apps. Focus on your finances instead. Also, if you don’t live in a large city or Metro area don’t waste your time either. Most female app users are concentrated in Urban areas.
General Rules - Know when to Swipe
Days & Weeks
In general you want to use the app Sunday through Thursday to pull local women. Friday and Saturday are travel days when people move around a lot. If you live in a city you’ll get lots of tourists. So you can find yourself matching with women who will be 3,000 miles away tomorrow. Kind of a waste of time. Besides, weekends are for friends and women you're already dating.
Prime time for swiping is Sunday night through Tuesday night. These are the least social days of the week for most people and single women are more likely to be at home bored.
Time of Year
The time of year matters too. The worst months of the year for pulling local women are probably late June through early August for a similar reason as weekends. Summer is a time when people travel a lot and are busy going to the beach and doing active things. Single hotties are less available. Same for late November through early January. That’s holiday season and people are busy with family crap, friends, gift buying, etc. Not saying you can't get matches any time of the year, but some times are better than others.
Best months to go shopping for hotties are late January through early June. The approach of Valentine’s day along with the crappy weather puts more single women on dating apps. It’s also a time of year with less activity overall because there are no significant holidays. Ladies get bored and lonely. Then it leads up to spring, which is mating season.
The next best months are late August through early November. Summer is ending, FRESH MEAT is arriving on college campuses, the weather is cooling off, etc. Ladies don’t want to be all alone for the coming holidays.
Tinder Guide
We’re all busy right? You want the most matches possible while spending as little time swiping as possible. Just drop the extra $10 or $20 to get Tinder Plus for a month. If you’re too broke to do that, you’ve got bigger problems than dating. If you want to smoke the other men in your area you need to give yourself as many advantages as possible. Tinder Plus features help you save time and match with more women faster. Here are the features and how to use them:
Unlimited Swiping
The free version of Tinder limits how many swipes you can make in a day. Tinder Plus gives you unlimited. You want unlimited swiping because it speeds up the process and lets you take full advantage of your newbie boost. When you first download the app (do it on a Sunday) you get a newbie boost where your profile will be among the most viewed. You want to swipe as any woman in your area as soon as possible in the first two weeks. Overtime you get moved to the back of the line as more new people join. Turn on the active users feature (I explain how it works later) and try to swipe through about a thousand women within one or two weeks. You will likely have several matches those first two weeks anyway but keep swiping until the girls start getting very ugly. That’s when you know you’ve blown through all the hotties.
Tinder Boost
This feature allows you to move your profile to the front of the line for 30 minutes so that all the active women in your area using the app will see you. It’s almost like being a new profile. You want to use this feature Sunday through Tuesday and always after 5PM. Bonus if the weather is crappy. That will maximize the women who see you.
Passport
This feature lets you move your profile to any city in the world and swipe women in that area as if you are actually there. This is good for lining up dates in a city you’re about to visit or swiping in your hometown while you’re away. I’m hoping this feature leads me to having hoes in different area codes, but I’m still in the early stages of testing that since I never use to use this feature in the past.
Super Likes
This feature lets you single out particular women and move your profile to the top of their list so they see you the next time they use the app. You get five Super Likes a day with the paid version. How you use this feature depends on your goals. If you want to meet someone ASAP to get laid, don’t waste your Super likes on 9’s and 10’s. Target the 7’s who are more likely to swipe on you and chat.
Control Who You See
This feature allows you to only see recently active profiles if you want. This is a good way to weed through the old profiles and b*tches who don’t even use the app anymore. Obviously you want to swipe the active members before anyone else. You should use this feature right away when you download the app.
Bumble Guide
The free version of Bumble offers unlimited swiping and its own version of the Super Like. So you basically use it the same way you would use Tinder and at the same strategic times. Bumble is designed more around being woman friendly. Therefore, it has a better male to female ratio. This doesn’t mean you’ll get more matches though. Tinder has enough losers and people using the FREE version that it’s a wash in my opinion.
Bumble’s paid features are not as man-friendly as Tinder’s. It offers none of the awesome features Tinder has. The only good feature is the “Beeline” which allows you to see who has already liked you before you swipe. In theory, it sounds good because it means you don’t have to bother swiping. You just wait until you get pinged with a like. HOWEVER, a lot of b*tches are lazy and will get the beeline feature for the same reason. The end result is no one is swiping and everyone is just waiting to get a notification. The good news is the youngest and hottest women will usually not pay for Bumble.
Bumble doesn’t offer a way to push your profile to the top of the list either. So once your natural newbie boost falls off in a week or two, your profile gets pushed to the back of the line into oblivion and you stop getting matches.
The strategy to avoid this is to delete your profile after a month. Then come back a month later (they penalize you if you make a new profile too soon so wait at least a month). After a month, sign back up and pay for the beeline feature to pull the women who use the FREE version. Swipe like crazy for a week. Then delete after a month. Rinse and Repeat. The good thing about Bumble is you don’t need to be as active as Tinder. The Beeline will help you match faster when you have a new profile and the women have to make the first move. You do one solid week of swiping, then you just sit back and wait for three weeks as matches come in until your profile gets stale and pushed to the back of the line.
On Deleting Tinder
Since Tinder has the profile boost feature, you don’t need to delete it as often as Bumble. I would keep it for a three month period, then delete at the start of an off-peak season like late November, December, July, etc. Sometimes girls you meet up with will ask you how long you have been on the app. I never like to say I’ve been on it too long. So delete it every few months. Come back at the start of a peak period with a fresh profile. Pay for a month or two to get the bonus features. Then cancel the account. Rinse and repeat.
That’s the most efficient and effective way to pull girls on Tinder and Bumble without wasting loads of your time. Still not the best way to find GF material, but if you want plates this is a great Plan B to the cold approach. Especially when the weather is sh*tty.
