I'm 27 years old. I ****ed up in college. I initially tried out Accounting, but my GPA sunk low and I was not allowed in the College of Business (Bauer) at my University. I still have no degree. I am doing a program in university in Supply Chain & Logistics. I have no experience. No interns have been offered to me.

My only choice is joining the Army National Gaurd. Is it worth it? Will I make a wise decision joining? Or will I be used as a pawn by the elites? What should I do /biz/?

Army National Guard is offering entry level jobs and intern in the field I'm in but it could be very well a trap to join the military.

American by the way.

I never liked the idea of joining the military, just so I can make some bankers rich. What are your thoughts and what should I do? Every application I apply for results in no response.

You gotta do what you need to do in order to get to where and what you want in life. What do you want? You want attractive women? Then you need to be successful and have a good physique.

When Im eating the food I need in order to gain muscle I look at the tuna and rice on my plate and I litteraly immagine it to be pssy. Do I really want to eat it? No, I would love to eat little like my genetics want from me. Its called work towards a goal, and believing it will happen as I do this every day. I fuk up sometimes but I never give up.

Accounting is some very dry stuff, you like numbers that much? How about trying engineering then, become a mechanical engineer and you can work everywhere in every country.

You can do anything you want. Immagine that dream car, house, woman in your beautiful apartment or sunny beach. You have to have a goal or you are walking around blindfolded.

Im 29 by the way and in the middle of a career change myself. I gotta admit I also feel the heat though.

Milano got this right on point!

Nothing in life is free, you reap what you sow. It is also never too late to change. I make six figures now, but I should already be a millionaire. I'm pissed that I messed up my life early on and had to play catch-up for 10 straight years. I've been homeless, been arrested, been broke, been hungry, lost my entire net worth and now on my way to million(s). Change is not easy. You fvck up you pay the price. My dad's been in prison, my one of my best childhood friends is dead from drug OD, you reap what you sow.

I almost joined the marines back in my first year in college. I fvcked up with a 1.7 GPA. I actually fvcked up my entire childhood. I had no foundation in math, english, or any core subject so when I got to college, I obviously couldn't do any of the homework's and answer test problems because I lacked the foundation. No matter how much I studied or arrived to class early and sat in the front, sh1t just didn't make sense. I also cut all socialization out from my life since that was the stem of all my problems when I was younger. I got into college for my swimming but I almost failed all my classes. If it wasn't for my good cheating skills, I would not have passed most classes with a D (would have straight up failed). I opted for marines and passed ASVAB. It was a way for me to runaway and get that adrenaline kick I used to get from fighting. Luckily my family came and convinced me not to.....or more like the recruiter was super shady and I caught on. I had qualified for intelligence, but since my parents would not consent to a background check, I would not be able to get in after bootcamp. Recrutier pushed me to sign up and go to bootcamp and after my parents saw how I've changed, they would want to sign the form. Realistically, if my parents did not sign the form, I would get lumped with allt he other recruits and sent to the group that they needed the most men (infantry). I was like f- that, I'm not stupid enough to not know that infantry is front line and the highest casualties. My parents would be forced to sign the form, because no parent wants their kid to go join the meat grinder (apologies to any infantry folk).

When I graduated college with a 2.2 GPA, I hustled. went through 1k interviews for 3 job offers. Always planned long term. I turned down a FT $38k a year gig for a $14/h temp job because of the opportunity. I got myself to NYC, paid off my lawyer fees, debt, hired tutors to tutor me in math and english. Re-read all my books from highschool to college. Studied, studied, read, learnt, studied, read, learnt, was proactive, forced rejections so I could learn.

I went through 1k job applications until I got my offers, and tracked them ALL. I understand I have to be different, unique, in order to compete because I'm way behind the game. But i'm a hustler, I will work 20x harder than any of those other applicants (don't say that in interviews). People used to see my as some dumb brute, now everything thinks i'm really smart or a genius. I tell them no, i'm not that smart, I just work hard. While you party, I learn. While you're dating multiple chicks, I read and learn some more. While you're on vacation, I'm fvcking fixing all my past mistakes and then some, in order to put myself ahead of everyone else. If only I didn't fvck up earlier, I wouldn't have had to work this hard, or I would be so much further than I am now.

I'm passed the embarrassing times where I had to ask people for a place to stay, borrow money, or even to have them share some food with me. If you haven't swallowed your pride yet, you've got a long way to go before you can change. Military is the cop out way for you to deal with your problems. I've been down that path.

I'm only 30 and I graduated during 2008 crisis. Confront your problems, find a solution, and set out to solve them. Ask for some help on the way if you absolutely need to but know and understand that no one is obligated to help you. Expect to be alone.

Unless you have in mind to someday join a PMC and be a bodyguard escorting high profile diplomats into dangerous territory, I would pass on the military since I don't believe that it'll offer a decent career path unless you go in as an officer (but going in as an officer requires a bachelors so it's a catch-22)....especially now that the Korean peninsula and the South China Sea are really starting to get hot.... and Syria is getting worse everyday and the refugee crisis is getting worse in Europe.... WWIII is imminent, the petro-dollar crash is imminent... and it's all being staged because the US is $20 Trillion in debt with no way to pay it back, so a world war and an economic crash is necessary to "reset the debt obligations" as a part of peace negeotiations between the world powers...so yeah, unless you wanna get your legs blown off so the bankers can get richer, I'd say avoid the military.

I would advise staying in the Supply Chain Logistics program... Guys in Supply Chain make really good salaries once they get their foot in the door.

Don't worry too much about gpa, no one actually gives a sh1t about gpa in the real world, trust me, my bachelors gpa was barely 3.0 and that's only because I took a bunch of bs classes to get easy A's.

I work as an accounting manager now, the money is good but the hours are HORRIBLE... I'd say it might actually be a blessing that you didn't get in the accounting program since, in my opinion, accounting is a really difficult field to get your foot in the door.

When I graduated, I had no internships, none of the big 4 accounting firms offered me anything, nor did the mid tier accounting firms....

So what I did was I hustled... I got myself in really good shape, cleaned myself up, and made myself as sharp and handsome as possible...and then I reached out to temp agencies like Accountemps/Robert Half and got a couple of temporary accounting assignments....

From these temp jobs I was able to hustle my way up to Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, and now accounting manager...

Just stick with it...stay positive...keep you head down and keep hustling....

Military isn't a bad option IMO, but yeah, you have to know going in, that you may be serving under some BS policy at times. Kissinger himself served in the military.
