So I've known this girl for ages, for 22 years now (I'm 27, she's 26).

She used to be incredibly shy.

On Facebook, every time she goes on holiday(every 2 months), for example on a holiday for 7 days, everyday she literally puts up 10 images! Half of them including herself in different dresses! So she takes snaps everyday of different clothes she wore for those 7 days.

Also, she also HAS to put up a picture of herself donating blood! She puts a picture of her arm in a needle which says "it's time to donate blood etc". She does this every six months, what's the point of that? A lot of people do good deeds but go on Facebook to talk about it.

Last week, she donated money to charity and guess what, that's right, she had to put up a Facebook post saying "donating money to charity is important, so and so".

Unfortunately, behind my back, I've found out she's been 'putting me down' stating "do I even talk to girls" and "I'm so and so".

So she's created an "ego" of herself on Facebook. I do feel she's a narcissist and badly needs validation and social approval through Facebook (which she has fortunately got now).

She hardly knows me and does not think much of me.

Anyway, I'd love to prove her wrong and I can.

Do nothing. Don't waste your time.

You really want to stick it to her? Do things that make you happy and live a happy life. Always be in a good mood and never let her affect you. She will resent you even more. Perfect

Thanks for your replies.

Both of your posts are very true.

I wonder how would she react if Facebook suddenly doesn't exist anymore lol.

Try this. Post a link to this thread on her timeline (or wall or whatever they call it) and say something like:

Hey, you're famous! the whole internet is talking about you:

In fact, you can copy and paste that above and post it directly.

Then she'll follow it here, and see that the FB link is a link to a post with a link to itself within the post which is a never ending loop and maybe her consciousness will get stuck in said never ending loop.

And then she'll realize how clever you are and "like" your post, and then because that "like" will have been created within a ever ending, self-referencing loop, you'll have INFINITE likes, be the most famous person on Facebook, and you can die a happy man.

That'll show her....

Philanthropy can be a defense mechanism. When people are ****, they give to charity to feel better about themselves and to look good to the outside world.
