A girl i was dating got in touch with me out of the blue (after a year or so of no contact) .. so i set up a time/place to grab a drink together ... she then tells me she is only looking for friendship AFTER she accepts the date.

e.g. the common advice is to always pay attention to girls actions...not what she says. her actions (accepting a date/a meet for a drink) implies to me there might be some potential here for sex despite her saying she's only looking for friendship.

Is this a major sign of low interest/waste of my time - or should i keep the date and see where this goes?

In this situation you say no to friendship 100% of the time. 90% of the time you're dead in the water, but 10% of the time you can still end up scoring if you do everything perfect.

I once got a 2 page letter from a girl in 2003 asking this, and I hemmed and hawed and then replied "no".

To which she replied "F*ck off then!" before saying "Come over here I want to cuddle!" about a week later. Best sex I previously ever had.

She just wants you as a beta orbiter because Chad isn't around.

Why are you bothering with lukewarm interest? I'd either go dutch or flake on her. Your time is better spent playing PS4.

Case closed. Don't be a member of her fan club.

your response should've implied that you were gonna treat it like a date, if she still goes, knowing that as far as you're concerned you're trying to get laid, that's a good sign

when on the date, escalate, if she lets you, she was all talk. if she doesn't, go dutch
