I'm thinking, I'm not putting enough on bitcoin. What's a good percentage? I've heard, 33% of your income. I'm at 10%.
Like anything you do in life, be responsible. Crypto may likely be the way of the future but there are still many things being worked out. Exchange issues. Wallet issues. Miner issues. Development issues.

Do diversify. I own precious metals, and everything I have is paid off. I can pay all my bills on time.

Invest what you can lose.

That being said. I believe in crypto but follow it indepth and I know some people that have their house in order that have gone up to 75% crypto.

Thanks, I'm daily, tempted to put my savings in crypto. I'm not interested in anything else: metals, oil, pork bellies, google....those markets are too regulated and manipulated...I'll pass.

Less rules, less government! That's why I got into crypto in the first place, along with Disney (dragonchain)

Once again, be careful. Coinbase is crashing most likely due to ethereum volume (buying/selling). The app and site both are not working. Might seem like it's working but when you buy/sell it won't let you on the app. desktop site is down.

Well, Bitcoin is currently steady at $1,254 a coin. It was $250 a coin when I first learned what it was, but at that price it was very risky. I accepted that I missed the train on this a long time ago...

But now Ethereum has reached $30 for the first time ever, with a previous high of $19 a year ago. Two years ago it was trading at $0.96. I had a few hundred coins that I purchased for about $9 and pulled out when it plummeted to $6 in a few days.

So much for that...
You would have close to six figures if you held...

Alot of interesting things I see rereading this thread.

What are yalls investing strategies for crypto?

There is no what if's in this game. I've learned that long ago when I started investing and trading. It is what it is. If you're not holding now it's because you deemed it too risky, lazy, etc. whatever the reason was, there was a reason why you were not in at cheaper. People think I'm crazy for getting in BTC and ETH at $800 and $50. I knew about BTC sub $300 and ETH sub $10. Do I want to shoot myself in the foot for not buying it then? No.

BTC and ETH were still too risky in my eyes back then. I didn't do enough research to have faith in a decentralized blockchain let alone know what that even means. I dipped my feet in 6 months ago. I made a bit of money. I researched and learned more. It went up more. I researched a sh1t ton and convinced a few friends to get in. They dove in head first and taught me some stuff too and I again learned more. My knowledge is probably considered advanced for the majority of the population but in the crypt space, i'm probably average.

For anyone interested in crypto currencies I would first understand what crypto currencies are. THere has been a massive influx of new people in the crypto space, learn why they are coming in. Learn why the majority of the world is not coming in. The pros and cons. Do the pros outweight the cons? They make your decision.

It's alot easier to learn about something if you have skin in the game as well. So buy some BTC and ETH and follow its price movement. I paid my employee $100 in ETH last monday. It was worth $200 this morning at the peak.

The correct term in crypto space is "HODL".

Hold on for dear life because it's going to be one heck of a ride. Crazy swings up and down. There will be price movements that probably cause people to sh1t or piss themselves. Some guy who lived in a 40 square foot trailer bought $5k of ripple when it was $0.01 and sold when it went $0.40 for some ridiculous $200k. When he told his wife, she literally pissed her pants.

This will be the norm all summer long. prepare some extra pants for this crazy ride.

I've been watching since 2010, not buying until now. Is good entertainment!

And, I'm learning so much, it's crazy!

Some people believe Bitcoin and Litecoin are the Gold and Silver of the next century.

Others say these "investments" are akin to lighting your money on fire. I say tell it the individuals who invested in Bitcoin at $0.07 in 2011 who are now multi-millionaires. BTC currently trades at $760 per coin.

While extremely volatile, dangerous, and difficult to understand (a recipe for disaster), IF cryptocurrency is here to stay, surely Bitcoin will not remain the only big fish in town forever.

Is anyone enticed by any alternative coins at all?
It is enticing, but I wonder what the Feds will do if these millionaires cash out and make a lot of money.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Taxes happen at cashout, from my understanding. Don't quote me though. I could be wrong.

Right, but bircoin is tied to so many criminal activities that the Feds may label it money laundering, etc. I'm not sure either, but whenever you have easy money or an easy hot woman, problems come your way.

Bitcoin is better than silver and gold...

1. Not manipulated by authorities, for the most part.

2. It's more portable

3. It's more scarce / rare (only 21 million coins can be mined) Gold is unlimited.

Game over

What other alt coins are you guys looking at? It's crazy how Bitcoin and Ethereum has done. I'm sure there are more that will explode.

Will also stop stating what I hold but I will state what I think about certain coins as an investment opportunity. Act on this at your own risk.

BTC - buy/hold (bip 148)
ETH - buy/hold (proof of stake/POS)
LTC - buy/hold longer term (undervalued now imo)
VERI (Veritaseum) - buy/hold
XRP (Ripple) - sell
STR (Stellar Lumens) - sell
DASH - buy/hold
XMR (monero) - buy/hold

there are other coins that are good and bad but these are the most popular ones and ones I like.

I believe the problem is resolved but I could be wrong. I still would not touch this wallet when there are plenty of other viable wallets.
