I've been through this hole, but a good friend of mine just met this single mom and he reminds me of my situation. He asked me for advice and I did. However, he didn't seem convinced. It seems like there is a pattern with women in this situation. It all seems like green pasture, fwb is fun, down to earth, chill, great sex, good conversations but it all leads down to a road. They say that they don't need a man, but in reality they all do.

It's a trap, the best thing you can hope for is a good time at the beginning. Because it's all about her getting help from him while he's always going to be second place. Just keep talking to him about he's always going to be second place, he'll catch on soon.

Yeah man, if he's that much into her then she's really baiting that trap good. Sex on demand, lots of bjs, no drama... Women can really make things awesome when they want to. Then she'll try to guilt him into doing things for her kid and its all over after that. Game over man.

lol i went through it. It was a hell of a ride. Are these women really aware of what they're doing?

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

They are, they just don't see it as sinister as we do. Men operate under the premise that sex is good and fun for everyone. Women treat it like a reward or currency. As far as she's concerned he's been getting freebies all this time

Ah, I see it now. That's the reason why she'd asked me "what are we" after having sex. On the other hand, for me it was all about the fun and adventure.

Exactly once you pay for something don't you want to see your shiny new thing? In her mind she just made a payment to you. Things are very transactional for women...

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

For a single mom...she must be vetted to max, first. Otherwise, I wouldn't touch that with 500ft pole.

lol that's ****ing terrible, now that I look back at it.
Women are their own worst enemy man. All this feminism movement and as soon as they find a dude they like they turn their puuussy into a bargaining chip. A chip used to sweeten the deal of accepting her crappy attitude.

lol for reals. i remember her asking me that question a good 7 times. At that moment, I just didn't know how bad she was thinking.

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

Nah vetting won't change anything typically. Women are all lazy and expect men to do the most of everything. Puussy is the prize and we all have to work for it. How is that equal? Women are all the same asking for one thing then the next. Vetting only proves she is patient enough. But eventually she will start to impose her motherly responsibilities on any guy she is with.

The worst thing about those questions is that it only serves to make you look bad. Say your just there for the nookie and it looks bad. Say at that moment that you love her and want a relationship and it's even worse. Only option you have is to evade answering it completely by saying something slick/snarky.

Have him read this book.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
