Do women find it attractive or are bald guys at a disadvantage compared to men with hair?

It's an advantage in most cases. A clean shaven bald head has a more masculine appeal. It's 1000 times desirable than the alternative; a receding / thinning hairline. I don't think anyone who has a full head of hair decides to shave just for the sake of doing so, so it's really just bald vs. bad hairline.

I shaved my head bald last summer and haven't looked back. Bitches can't get enough of it. I'm also black. Bald black men get women. It's just how things are.

I think it totally matters. The only thing that overtakes hair is height. If you are 6'3 and an athlete or swimmer or something, then you can get away with it. But generally, a thick set of hair on a man is very important to women.

:p

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

It's an advantage in most cases.
Says who? Show me statistics.

If in MOST cases it's better to not have hair, why do we have Hair Club for Men? Why not Tweezers for Men? Why did Sean Connery wear a toupee? Was there ever a bald James Bond?

In many cases men lose their hair because they are unhealthy (see chemotherapy).

Women don't find bald men less attractive per se, but the main issue is that men are insecure if they are bald and try to overcompensate. And please don't pretend women prefer it. Yes, some bald men have more testosterone, but if you're not big and tall who cares? Go flex somewhere else.

Many women refer to men who have "short, bald man syndrome" - these are men who have resorted to bullying women to feel bigger.

And shaving your head to make it seem like you're a tough guy is weak IMO.

I'm 46 and have a full head of hair and trust me - it's not a disadvantage.

It depends on the man we talk about usually for black guys is easier to look good with a shaved head.

Not as easy for a pale white guy since he looks like he is out of hospital unless he is in great shape, in that case the shaved head reminds of a different archetype which is the manly strong one.

I would say a shaved head is anyway better than a heavily receiding hairline which the guy tries to hide in ridicolous ways like growing hair on the side and bringing them up.

Lets talk about Espi which we all know in this forum, he is way taller than the average man and well built so his bald head multiplies it while imagine someone short and fat like joe pesci shaving his head, in that case the shaved head multiplies his already akward body type.

The good news for what I observe is that while being bald is a minus, its not as bad as being short and if the rest is in good condition you can get a pass.

You job and social position have a role too, a tough police officer may get a bonus for being shaved while a dance teacher doesnt.

I had some friends insist I shave it ALL off since I am bald...with hair on the sides. But was told by a stylist I wouldn't be able to pull it off due to my narrow face. So there goes that. I just keep it short

That's a loaded question that can not be answered quickly. Some women do find it attractive some women don't. Just like some men like big butts some men like a small bubble buts.

Is it a disadvantage? Only if it breaks your confidence. Let's say for example there are two twin men. One of the twins are bald with high self confidence. The other has a full head of hair and is self conscious about talking to people and more introverted. I'm willing to bet the bald twin has a higher quality of life from women to business to life as a whole from society's point of view.

I have a few bald friends. One of them shaves his head completely but it's kind of a new thing for him and he's a bit self conscious about it so it shows through in his actions. Needless to say he fumbles with the ladies from time to time but not because he's bald, it's because he's self conscious about being bald.

My other friend rocks the George Castansa horseshoe Larry David haircut. He's super confidence funny as hell and quick witted. People love to be around him and ladies flock to him like a moth to a flame.

So do women find bald guys attractive yes and no.
Is it a disadvantage yes and no. it's all depending on what guy you want to work to be.

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.

Don't let that stylist put you in her/his frame. Hair grows back in 2 months if you don't like it wear a ball cap for a month or so. At least you will know if it works for you physically. Most importantly rock what ever style you choose with confidence.

I hope I don't go bald. Shaved head really doesn't suit me, I look like some weird creature with no hair.

I'm 33 now and I've noticed my hairline probably went back about centimetre in my 20's. All in all my hair is still fairly thick, I just hope it stays that way otherwise I would seriously consider some sort of transplant.

Some guys though look f*cking great with a shaved head. I'm just not one of them!

Watch out for transplants, they skin and faley the back of your head to get the hair. So when you finally say to hell with it I'm shaving it all off you have a huge scare on the back of your head. But who knows what they will have in 10 years with technology.

What's the procedure called?
Is that the one where it looks like little plugs and you can tell?

I'm pretty good in that area I think I made it through the woods with the hair thing. But it's not as thick as it was when I was younger.

What do you mean? This person is a professional and knows what they are talking about...so I'll act accordingly because I agree with them...in fact, I knew I couldn't pull it off...just got an opinion from a professional. There's no "frame" to this. (I keep seeing this "frame" word thrown around a little too much lately. lol)

A shaved head can work on a tall guy with a good head shape. But I still think a full head of hair is ideal.

As far as balding itself, I know plenty of women say it doesn't matter or it's not a big deal either way, but I really don't believe that. Here's my favorite line...

HB: It's not a big deal. My husband is balding and I still love him.

Mike: But did he have hair when you first started dating him?

HB: <Eyes get huge. Changes the subject>

If you are looking to meet a woman, you don't have the benefit of relationship seniority lol. You have to go by her entrance exam requirements.

I've seen women fully admit, even women in their 50s, that they demand their man have a full head of hair. Yeah, even in their 50s. lol Things are sagging on her, and she demands a man without thinning hair?

Sure if 6 months at cosmetology school makes you a professional. I use to book stylists for photo shoots and knew a lot of them from hair to wardrobe to makeup making big cash all those hair stylists would offer to give me their $150 hair cuts for free. In the end I do what I have done since I was a kid I have a pair of clippers and shave it to a 1 guard myself for free. That's just my choice I respect your choice.

My opinion of hair stylist is that you could go to 10 different ones and get 10 different answers. I was under the impression that you were not sure if you wanted to listen to the stylist or your friends I was unclear on your stance. My view is that what ever makes you feel more confident then go with that. Since you have never shaved your head you or any stylist really doesn't know just how you would look till you do it.

I did it once for the hell of it no balding when I was younger and thought it would look bad turned out to look way better than I expected I would have never known if I never shaved it. The only problem I had with it was the maintenance. I had to shave it every few days and grew tired of it after a short time.

The stylist was selling you on his mind frame of what he thought you would look like with a shaved head. You agreed with his mind frame and not with your friends mind frame of shaving it off. If it was your mind frame from the start you never would have asked the stylist about it because you would have been in your mind frame to rock the George castanza. That's just my outside opinion and how I see it.
