I was browsing through the dating profiles...and I had noticed a woman...who, by the way is in her late 40s and never been married, longest relationship under a year and no kids...decided to ad an addendum to it on top or PSA as I like to refer to it.

Addendum : I make it a point to read the profiles of individuals to whom have messaged me, prior to opening their messages. Your manner of speech gives you away despite what you try to project ;-) Lets just say I have a Phd in B.S. :)

Etiquette dictates an initial response . However. If you've sent me a message and I have responded by saying ; I appreciate you stopping by and wish you the very best of luck. You should infer that to mean I have no interest in you.

It is not an invitation for further interaction ;-) In the interest of saving you time. Your incessant messages will simply be Deleted unread !

Quite the pompous type, yes?

Although, I have noticed more and more women making these claims on their profiles, but a shorter vers. of , "If I don't respond, it means I'm not interested." But it just something about how she delivers it as quite condescending, yes? No?

Women full of bullsh!t tend to have a PhD in their "art"...

I can kinda understand why they put stuff like this on their profile though. There are after all hoardes of Nice Guys™ on online dating sites that doesn't take the hint and spams them with messages. I would imagine it's pretty damn annoying.

Thing is though, I don't think she meets anyone as she's been on the site for years, I can tell because on POF you always see the last time they've logged in. I think she's the onlyone that's NEVER had an "on and off" thing with the site...at least in these smaller towns.

Don't forget, most men that contact her are likely of the backwater non-educated variety, too. Those at are at her intellectual level, probably aren't attractive or GQ enough for her, and in a smaller community, that's hard to find. She probably is way too picky, and that explains her "less than a year" relationships.

@ThisNThat She's still probably drowned in desperate AFC's sending her messages. Just by the fact she has a vagina, regardless of everything else about her.

Chances are, eventually, you'll wind up emailing the same women again...esp. in an area where's there is a limited amount of singles. You'll just eventually think, "What the heck, I'll try her again" after a few weeks.

There's this one woman, that's been on this site in years. She said IN her profile, "I've been on this site for 3 years! I never thought I'd be here for this long!"

I emailed her with, "Chances are it's because you're too picky. lol"

Haha, that's hilarious and probably true.

I was only active on online dating for a couple of months before figuring out that the type of girl I'm looking for does not exist there. It seems that online dating is a garbage dump of people who are too insecure to be able to find what they're looking for in person. It's also a very artificial way to meet people, being able to read about a person makes people picky. Being picky is bad too early on, a date or two is really necessary to determine if it's desired to continue or not.

I stay away from online dating and I never intend on using it again (if I become single again). 95% of game is in my behavior, the b!itches on online dating only see 5% and doesn't give me a chance. It's way way way easier in real life.

Yeah, cant' say that I blame ya. The only time I was able to get a date from online...was when the woman was 1. New in town 2. New to online dating or 3. BOTH. lol

There have been, however, women I've known in my social circles to be on that site. One that I know, real athletic 49 year old, cute as a button and high energy. She's a major high skilled jetskiier and roller bladder, She could easily run circles around men her age. I was like "What are YOU doing on here?! You're too good for this site!" lol

Apparently, she was still licking her wounds from a 1.5 year relationship that just ended.

When one has a wide selection of choices to pick from, they tend to become dismissive. It's human nature.

At any given point, most women have a line of men ready to take her out or just give her attention.

All in all, I think she's giving good advice. It's the same thing we preach here. When a woman is disinterested, don't waste your time pursuing further. Just move on to the next woman. Why frustrate yourself and possibly waste your time trying to win her over. It's useless.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Believe it or not, I've known "how we met stories" to start off like this, but it was in form of a real life encounter(s). One time this woman brought her new beau to a house party. She said he asked her out 3 times before she said yes.

Of course, these are exceptions, so if persistence worked with him, should a guy follow suit? If not, then in what case would repeatedly asking a woman out would work?
