I came across this article. What are your thoughts?

A strong alpha female might seem intimidating at first, but there’s more to her than just her fiercely strong persona. The alpha female, if you dare dabble, is the best girlfriend you’ll ever have. Here are just a few reasons why:

1. She’ll always be 100% upfront with who she is. You never have to guess if she’s putting on a front just to reel you in, because she doesn’t really care what you think. She’ll be her authentic self because she lives by the mantra, “Take me as I am, or watch me as I go.” She holds her dignity in high regard and doesn’t feel the need to act innocent and fragile just to avoid scaring you off.

2. She’ll challenge you to be a better man. If there’s anything her man wants out of life, whether it’s a project or a goal he’s working towards, she’ll push and support him in his pursuit of obtaining it. She wants her partner to succeed, too, because she knows it makes them a better team when they’re both winning.

3. She lives life in the fast lane, which makes being with her fun. She maximizes her downtime as much as her crunch time. When she’s not working her ass off to better herself, she’s enjoying life in the best ways she can. She’s not the homebody type and would rather go out and be social, hike a mountain, or jet off on a trip to make fun and lasting memories than get into a sweatpants-and-couch rut in her relationships.

4. She’ll want you, not need you. She doesn’t need a man to provide for her in life, because she provides for herself. This means if she’s with you, it’s purely because she wants to be with you. There’s nothing more sincere and amazing than a woman who truly wants you around even when she can rock the game of life on her own.

5. She won’t nag you to get sh*t done. If you forget to do things that need to be done from time to time, she won’t waste her time getting on your case about it. Instead, she’ll figure out a way to get them done on her own. She has better things to do with her time than nagging her partner about petty things.

6. She won’t give up on the important things. She won’t throw in the towel on her relationships at the first sign of struggle, because struggle is her middle name. She faces all challenges head on and she won’t hesitate to find ways to improve the life you share.

7. She’ll make the first move without hesitation. Sex with an alpha female will always be amazing because not only does she genuinely enjoy passion and intimacy, she’ll actually be the one to initiate most of the time. Sometimes after a long hard day of killing it, she just wants to rip off the clothes of the man she cares about. And she’ll always leave you wondering when she’s about to jump you next.

8. You don’t need to worry about her. If she goes out with her girls or has to take a trip somewhere without you, you don’t need to worry she’s going to be faced with any damsel in distress moments, or that you’ll need to rescue her from any situation. She’s a woman, not a princess; she’s got this sh*t handled.

9. She won’t let herself go. The alpha female likes to be on point, always. This goes for her career, her health, and her looks, so you don’t need to worry about her falling into any lazy ruts or that eventually she’ll be rocking nothing but sweatpants and a messy bun for days on end. She’ll have lazy days like any other woman, but they won’t last long because she can’t stand not being the best version of herself she can be.

10. She’s extremely loyal to the ones she loves. When she’s in love, she has her boyfriend’s back in every way, shape, and form. She’ll challenge you to be the best version of yourself while taking care of anything you need in support along the way. She views her relationships as priceless partnerships and just like her go getting attitude about her life overall, she’ll strive to make your duo the best possible team you can be together. Because she doesn’t live a mediocre life, she only wants what’s amazing. If she’s with you, you must be pretty amazing to capture her heart and attention.

The day I got my girlfriend's phone number I was sitting with her and 2 other girls from her work. One of them said "You're with the three Alpha females..." and at the time I saw her comment as arrogant, but in hindsight, this list describes my girlfriend exactly. She is an Alpha female.

The description in the OP fits me pretty well actually.

I'm happy to defer to a man who can lead me who I'm attracted to. Delighted.

The idea that women as described in the OP are incapable of submission or deference to a man is an ego protecting myth. It's just that they will only defer to someone they perceive to be at or above their own level in life. That shouldn't surprise anybody.

In the wolf pack the alpha female always defers to the alpha male. The truth of the matter is an alpha female (as described in the OP) has out accomplished many men, and therefore her pool to select from (to whom she will defer and submit) is much smaller and of a higher eschelon than the general population.

High value men have no issues pulling these kinds of women and often really appreciate them.
It is not about high value or low value men. Some people here either don't understand or they act like they don't for the sake of it.

Noone said that these women are incapable of submission, but there is quite a lot of resistance to it and it goes to a point where it becomes un-sexy. I don't want you act like the penis in the relationship. I am the penis, I do my job. You are the vagina, you do yours. But these types of women think they got penis traits (competitivness) and they will act like that no matter what. You can take an alpha male and pair it with these women and it will probably not last long, but take a quiet beta and pair it with an alpha female and you probably have something longlasting. It is always + and -.

The wrong idea that "an accomplished female has outaccomplished most men and that's why she won't defer to them" LOL here is the thing: noone cares if you're an accomplished female. The more accomplished you are, the more "penis" you tend to be and the more you think you should run stuff and lead situations. I could be the most alpha male ever, but if you're always trynna interfere with my leading (and they always do, these types), that is a turn off in all aspects. Personally, I do not even consider going to bed with these women cause they cannot even turn me on and no, it's not because they're "accomplished more than me", but because they got masculine behaviour which is something I got a problem with, being a dominating type of guy.

Accomplishment is measured differently for men and women. Men are accomplished in business and life and all that, women are accomplished if they have a good partner and relationship and healthy kids which they can take care of AND in the end, a hoby/passion of theirs. But the order starts just like I said: partner/relationship -> kids -> hoby/passion. For guys it's hobby/passion/work -> spreading seed -> partner/relationship/kids. If a guy were to appreicate and piedestalize his woman and make her the goal of his life, we would all be telling him he got the order wrong. On the other hand, some members here seem to be more "forgiving" if a woman confuses her natural order of things and they just say "well, if you're alpha enough, you will tame her". No LOL here is the main point of all of this: I don't feel like taming her. And that is gonna be a problem HER, not for me, because I am the one who starts the "attack", not her. And if I don't wanna start the attack...

You confirm my point entirely @lizardking82 which is that there are women who are quite feminine who fit the description in the OP.

But if you aren't a man who can pull this kind of woman they will be invisible to you. You don't believe they exist.

You make a logic mistake to assume the OP's description equates to masculinity in a woman.

Real life examples of such women are Amal Clooney, Cindy Crawford, Serena Williams, and while those are high profile famous examples there are others who are similar but without the fame. These women are feminine in relation to their man.

Frankly the article doesn't talk about deference or submission of feminine behavior. You assume an accomplished woman is not a feminine woman. You are incorrect. These things are not mutually exclusive. Rather you want to frame the OP article to say "accomplished" means different things based on gender to bolster your point.

The best women are going to pair off with the best men. Often the best women meet the criteria described in the OP AND are feminine and supportive of their man AND are good wives & partners.

If you aren't a high enough caliber man to pull such a woman you won't see them. They will be invisible to you.

LOL no, and your problem is that you are kind of defending self interest here when you say "if you are not high caliber enough". It is not about caliber at all. Even if I were accomplished, women with masculine tendences like Serena would not register in my books at all. I like, elegant bodied, soft, sensitive, feminine women. I have almost never seen such women become corporate bosses or leaders because leading is not feminine nature. Female leaders, in general, are women who are on their masculine way too much.

We are the only species where this occurs. I know of no other mammal species where a female having masculine traits is considered "high caliber". High caliber? Never seen an alpha male paired succesfully with an alpha female. There is no alpha female to begin with. Alpha is a masculine trait, beta is a feminine trait. Men and women both have those traits, but men remain alpha in their nature and women remain beta. I mean, you either know this simple biology thing or you don't. Caliber has nothing to do with it.

And by the way, yes, the best women are going to pair with the best men and here is what you don't understand or refuse to accept/understand: the best men means the men with the strongest/highest masculine traits are going to bond with the females with the strongest/highest feminine traits. Leading and being accomplished like today's women try to do is not a feminine trait, OK?

Best men = richest, succesful, influental, well built, good genes, prestige, respected
Best women = highest egg quality, most fertile, most feminine, most beautiful, caring, etc

The most accomplished women are not the best women around LOL they are just the women that have a high status but a woman's worth is not decided by her societal status. As I said up there, no alpha or good man cares much if his woman is accomplished and running businesses and all that. A good man with strong masculine traits will want his woman to be feminine, soft, beautiful, fertile, caring. That's all.

There are "accomplished" famous women I really like, and they are quite feminine. There are other women like that that are masculine, I cannot even look at them. In either case, it's not the accomplishments that push my attraction, it's another factor.

One thing I will say is that if you've ever dated a chick that grew up with a bunch of brothers, they're very masculine in the fact you can talk to them like a buddy, but their feminine side is lacking. If a chick lets out a belch or small toot that's funny, that's sweet. But when they do it all the time like your bros it's a total turnoff.

Some Men say they want someone like their buddies but in girl form, easy to talk to, but I think they don't understand what that means. Gotta have the feminine traits

I'm not defending my self interest at all. I am relating what I observe in the marketplace. By the way I exhibit all the characteristics you value in a woman AND the characteristics described in the OP.

You seem to think these things are mutually exclusive. They are not.

Quite the contrary. I classify all the characteristics described in the OP as things that signify accomplished or capable women.

It should be obvious that a capable woman who has organizational skills, business acumen, and leadership ability is indeed a valuable potential partner because she brings these skills and their application into her relationship. That is in ADDITION to being feminine, caring, soft, beautiful, fertile, etc.

It is no cakewalk to raise & nuture babies, run a household, assist a man with whatever he assigns (including business related tasks often) have a sensible financial head on your shoulders and also have a position of prominence socially. It is a 24/7 365 role that is extraordinarily dynamic in nature.

Don't take my word for it by all means...

Go read Proverbs 31, most particularly the latter half of that chapter. Women like this have had great value for millennia.

Every guy wants a total package type woman. That's why so few are in the market. They get snatched up.

No, I don't want an all-round woman at all. I think in general, all people and things that are "all-round" are not good in any of the things they do. I like people who stick to their role and seek to expand on value and skills around that role. And I am not saying that those two are mutually exclusive. I will do my manly part, you do your womenly part. I did not state anywhere that the part women do in life is easy or useless. I just said the accomplishment of a woman means little to me personally. I like it that you're enjoying yourself, but as happens in MOST cases, accomplished women refuse to naturally accept their role. Yes, I know the man needs to be a good leader and dominant if that is to happen, but some of these women just won't obey no matter how good of a man you are. Penis-penis doesn't go along well. Penis-vagina, does. It's like during sex, I totally like a girl who knows what she's doing, who can give a good BJ, who can ride me well, but if you're trynna lead the sex and all that...nah LOL

@lizardking82 I am more of an alpha female as well. I have zero interest in needing to be a penis in a relationship. In fact, I LONG for a man who can lead properly so I can submit, trust, relieve myself off stress, and follow happily.

I have yet to meet that man. My ex was a beta, my last relationship was more of an alpha but he had no humility and a large ego that needed to be fed. Neither of which I was interested in feeding/dealing with.

A true alpha has humility, self esteem and character. A true alpha doesn't rely on bravado or confrontation. A true alpha male would put the alpha female at ease just by his behavior/actions. She could watch and see that this was someone she could put her faith in.

She could exhale, relax and focus on pleasing him.

I'm still waiting

These traits are what the majority of men are attracted to: feminine, caring, soft, beautiful, fertile

These traits are nice to have but aren't something the majority of men are attracted to or even care about: organizational skills, business acumen, and leadership ability

You can also put a females income/earning potential in the nice to have, but not something men seek out.

A woman with leadership traits has a tendency to want to be a chief. A man wants qualities that compliment his, not compete against. Here lies the issue. If a woman can turn off/tone down/redirect her alpha qualities and be a supporter at the right times then things will work. A man does not want to be in competition for leadership in his relationship. He deals with that schitt all day long at his job.

My own mom leans on the alpha side at times. She is super strong/independent and totally capable. Never ever needy. She grew up with a bunch of brothers on a ranch and this had a huge impact on her. It taught her to fend for herself or get left behind. There are times in my parents relationship that she oversteps her role and position and it causes discontent with my dad. Its a little like undermining a superior. If you want a man to lead, you must first let him lead. You don't let the accountant make CEO level decisions.

You can have an alpha like woman but at the end of the day she needs to temper those alpha leadership qualities at the right time and remember to stay within her role. Much like the role of Vice President to the President of the United States.

A woman that has a strong desire to please her man will trump a woman that shows alpha qualities 99.9% of the time. Alpha's don't tend to be pleasers.

Lol I just realized who you were talking to because I blocked her. You have to understand something, she is the most subtly egotistic person here on this entire board, more so than tenacity, bigneil, and even me when I first joined this site. Every single one of her posts has something about it that screams self-interest in a 'look at me' type of manner. You will not reason with her, nor can you. She will continue to divert, divert, divert, and divert the subject into something that is in her favor and she will not ever answer your questions. She will reframe them to fit her agenda instead. Believe me, I've tried way too many times to communicate A, B, and C and she gives me X, Y, and Z. I'm not sure if she consciously realizes it too. But she is your typical uptight 'too good for you' white girl that thinks way too highly of herself who just so happened to find SoSuave. She's just older. I'd advise you to take this into consideration whenever reading her posts because if you look into her posts enough, you can find dozens of implications of just how 'low' you are compared to how 'high' she is. Far too much arrogance.

The fact she's even called an alpha female is putting her on a pedestal. If she submits to you, game on. If not, move on. Masculine women turn me off. I've dated women richer than me. And even they acted feminine and warm. And I've dated women who tried to rule me with an iron fist and control me like a video game character.

To me, even telling a woman she's attractive is ass kissing to the 3rd power. No woman is attractive until she proves herself to me.

Of course an 18 year old is going to find me arrogant. I'm old enough to be his mother and I see no need to defer to him.

I see no need to make apology for who I am or what I stand for. I exemplify IDGAF what he thinks. If that bothers someone, so be it.

When you are older you've seen more life & you've had more experience. I actually think @ImTheDoubleGreatest! is wise for his years but he is not wise in the same way an accomplished 50 year old man is. He cannot be by virtue of tenure on Earth and life experience.

I defer to men who I have an interest in. I always have. I do so sweetly and naturally and to their great delight. The word I most often hear is "Refreshing" compared to other women.

But am I for everyone? No. Men who do not have their own lives together and who are not at my level in life have no appeal to me.

And my social calendar is as full as I desire of people I relate to and enjoy. Life is good :)

@lizardking82 doesnt want an all around woman at all.

That is different from what @Howiestern is saying in a subtle but important way.

Read the posts again. I fully understand some of this is simply a difference of perspective borne out of life experience. It's like non parents trying to be an authority on parenting.

A man with an experience is never at the mercy of a man with a theory.

When or if you start thinking about children for example you will look for qualities in addition to beautiful, caring, feminine etc.

Go read Proverbs 31. I dare you.

No, the part about the feminine traits and masculine traits, I listed them before he did and you liked his post, but not mine LOL but whatever, not that I want you to like it and am dying for that, it just sounds weird.

I am not speaking theory LOL stop implying things about me that you don't know? Do you know my personal experiences with women? Have you ever seen me imply things about you? I have been with different types/ages of women and although there is more to learn, I would suggest you speak sparingly of other people's experiences when you don't know jackshaite about them.

I will look at whatever the heck I wanna look in a woman when I think of having kids. I didn't say a woman should ONLY be feminine, caring and beautiful. I said those traits of hers are gonna be the ones making possible my desire to be with her. And I am 23. I am looking for a woman I like sexually and mentally. I don't think of having kids at all. You're judging everything from your own perspective. And no, I will not want an alpha female because I told you there is no such thing as an alpha female. It's a myth. Females are not alpha. Males are, simple as that. And this is not theory, it's something I see happening everyday in real life (since you're so concerned you got all the experience and I got none LOL)

Stop speaking from a supposed position of the experienced person talking to an unexperienced person. And no, I don't wanna take a look at the religious shait you suggest LOL I don't need religion to tell me things I know by common sense and personal experiences. Anyways, I won't reply to this any longer no matter what cause it seems to be useless

Oh, oh, so I see where you're coming from. So you're old enough to be my mother and that makes you right just because you've lived longer than me, right? LOOOL I thought there are no such people on this forum, but you've proven me wrong. Well, so nice of you to state this kind of attitude so that I know to ignore you in anything you say from now now, "mama" LOL

Anyone who needs to state they are older than you in an argument have lost it and are just desperate LOL. Feminine women defer to men they're interested in as well so you're not really doing something extraordinary here, but really, whatever. There is a point where I lose respect of some people based on their way of thinking and anyone who dismisses my thoughts/experiences while they treat me like a motherly figure LOL have a nice life.

Yes, but we have enlightened LOL people here trying to tell us that women who submit to high caliber men are the high value ones and women who submit to medium or low caliber men (whatever that is, you can't even define that one properly if you tried), are low caliber women. And the best part of it all? She is trynna tell us that women and men are accomplished or not accomplished in the same way, meaning she feels (not much thinking here) that men and women achieve success in life in the same way... and that is just LOL. It's just non-sense. People here talking about "alpha females". No alpha females. That;s just a joke. There are alpha males, they do the leading, simple as that. And she's trynna tell me I talk theories? I have a very close person in my relatives that is such a dominant type of woman. She is married to a softer, more feminine kinda guy. That is how it works. There should be no need for a woman to be tamed LOL I don't see how there are any sane people thinking that women that are "hard to be tamed" are high quality. They're probably just average in bed and kinda wanna fvck you instead of letting you fvck them. And to complete all that, a woman should not submit to a guy because of his higher status in society or shait like that, that's not submission, that's momentary acting because it interests her so. This is the shallow type of **** that will leave you right away if someone better comes along. I am not gonna explain to her the process of how people like each other is much more complicated than "if you're alpha enough, I will submit" because she won't get it. And then, I am too young to be explaining my "mama" anything so yeah...

Each man should seek a woman who pleases him. Each man will decide what pleases him and make his own choices.

The article puts forth a certain viewpoint. Some will agree others won't.

The OP posted the thread for the purpose of provocative discussion. I referenced Proverbs 31 because it shares similar views as the OP from ancient times and suggests that this is not a new problem nor a new topic.

My experience is congruent with the OP. It has been my experience that men value women who bring the traits described to the table especially and particularly when said traits are accompanied by beauty, caring, sweet, feminine energy.
