I'm generally on good terms with my siblings, but sometimes my sisters do stuff that's really annoying. My younger sister for example. She tells me the above statement sometimes. It's over small stuff, like say I'm walking towards the car, she runs in to sit in the front and locks the door, I get in the back and tell her "what the heck is your problem? I'm 18 and you're 14, show a little respect" and she'll reply with the title. Another one is today for example she was using my chromebook and tell her to turn the music down because I was watching a video on my phone, she cusses me out and tells me to suck a ****. I blow it off and tell her that I was watching a video and that she just blasts her music like crazy. She cusses me out a second time and ends it with the title. I get a little mad and she says to calm down, when I say that she is a hypocrite because she cussedness me out. Plus she was using my chromebook too, it's not even hers. So I tell her that I'm taking it back next time because she needs to show some respect. She mocks me, and then I walk over and yank it out of her hands and then ignore her barrage of insults and such. Parents come, tell me to give it back even though it's mine. If it was my brother, I would have decked him right in the face for this and they'd be on my ass, and on his for cussing me out over nothing lol. But she's my younger sister, and well I guess it's a double standard.

So, what to do?

Practice tolerance, ignore it, laugh it off. It's trivial.

Trying to modify a teenage girl's behaviour is a waste of energy. Lol do you expect to use the "48 Laws of Power" on your little sister.

No need to get worked up because a 14 year old suggests you should perform fellatio.

GHB and a gerbil up her ass will teach her...
Dunno man... me and my sis are 2 years apart.. we always were worst ennemies until one day... the day I showed her how to drink. Then we became best friends ever since. I have utmost respect for her a decade later after our peace treaty.

So yeah, try drinking with her.. if it doesn't work then you know what to do :p

On the other side, you could tell her to stfu cause she doesn't even know how to suck a d1ck anyways

Also, you're 18... move out? How are you still being bossed around by your parents?

some horrible advice in here.

Dude she needs to learn her fkin role. How did she get to be like this? Fatherless household? Sounds like dads not around. Honestly with a mouth like that and thinking she can talk to you that way shes already on her way to a life of stripper poles, coke and being a dumb sloot.

I mean we all know its like to be 14, but would any of you ever said some chit like that to your older family member? like not even as a joke. Somewhere along the line your family failed at bringing up your little sis, lack of proper parenting now has led to her being a typical vapid sloot, girls who talk like that are worthless typically. kind of sucks for you bro.

Id have a heart to heart sit down with her, like mafia style as if death was near because the death of your relationship with your sister is here..she has zero respect and probably worships the cash me ousside girl.

and honestly OP you sound like a little b8tch, no offense but arguing about your chromebook? I would snatch that laptop out of her in .2 seconds and go drill instructor mode and let her know if she has zero respect her life is not going to be very fun. Your letting this little kunt out alpha you. And shes succeeding because you are a beta male with no balls. Grow a pair and take the damn lead. How can she respect you when you are acting like a female too?

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.

Not gonna drink with her. We don't drink. And I'm with them because they're paying for college so I save a crap ton of money.

I don't think it's that, she just wants to be cool or something like that and it's usually not meant with ill intent. She's more aware than you think and that cash me oussode b!tch isn't the type of people she hangs out with or even associates with. I can't just force her to respect me though. The last time I tried something's like that, I lost control and only my brother was able to calm me down and hold me back because he actually saw the whole situation objectively. I almost sent her to the hospital a few years ago for some more extreme and blatant disrespect so 'being a little b!tch' ain't it. Me not doing anything is learning that ignoring and letting it role over is the best option sometimes; I'd rather keep peace in the household because I'm already branded as the person in the wrong since I was usually getting into fights a lot with my siblings when I was a child. Anyway, I got other ways to get back at her. I think I'll deal with it in those ways.

Isn't this generally the level of chaos in your home? From what I recall, you yell at your step mom like this too. I cant recall if your dad does it?

family dynamics are about modeling. this is what is modeled. she's learned by watching that it's okay to disrespect family. maybe it's only you that she says this too, right now. Give it time. She's young. She'll be doing it to your parents eventually.

I saw where you said you almost sent her to the hospital. that's really scary. I never had that dynamic with either of my siblings. There's some deep rooted animosity going on. What is it and why?

The other thing you can do is just let her be 14. Ignore her BS. In fact, ghost her. Nothing bothers you. be 'whatever'. She's immature and trying to dominate you. You parents dont (apparently) care to sort it out so nothing you can say or do is going to change the dynamic, except recognizing that she is immature and ignoring her BS.

In truth, it sounds like you need to practice not letting people push your buttons. you wont fully be in control of YOU until you have a grip on your reactions to peoples BS, and know that reacting is their way of controlling you.

She is a spoiled brat.

She is 14. Flat out ignore her.

Take YOUR property back and when your parents tell you to give it back to her remind them dealing with her undisciplined behaviour is their duty, their problem and up to them to fix it. Remind them entertaining her is not my responsibility.

Then go do your thing. She will get better with age. But for now she is 14. Worlds away from where you are mentality. Right now she wants her big brothers attention. She is behaving badly to get it........and the only reason she is behaving this way os because your parents refuse to do anything about it.

Take your property back. Completly ignore her. This will hurt/fix her more than yelling and swearing at eachother.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Sounds like normal sibling $hit... *shrug*
This sounds closer to it to be honest lol.

This isn't chaos. Chaos is when me or my brother stand up to my dad lol. I just try to avoid talking with my parents too much now and there hasn't been much fighting, so it's relatively peaceful. And I don't have a stepmom either. This is my actual mother. Same with my dad too. They're my biological parents. And there's no way in hell my sisters would talk back to my parents like me or my brother, they'd get the **** kicked out of them lol. Me and my brother are physically able to defend ourselves though so that's why stuff got super serious when we refused to back down to them.

The time me and her really went at it was a few years ago because her, my other sister, and my mom were basically spitting in my face metaphorically speaking and because I couldn't logically explain to them my side of the issue even though I tried for around 15 minutes, plus she was hitting me and kicking me in the face around a dozen or so times. It wasn't like it was an everyday thing though. She was giving me attitude for several weeks before that too. Afterwards that incident, I got major flak from my parents and I refused to say sorry until my dad basically forced me to. But she didn't give me attitude for the next few years. That is up until recently.

It isn't because she is trying to provoke a response out of me, it's because she thought I wouldn't do anything. Then once she saw me start spitting vitriol back at her, yank my chromebook out of her hands, and saw me get angry like I did when I was a kid with anger issues, she started playing the victim. I could see that she was gonna hit me too, but when she saw me how pissed off she got me, she knew I'd hit her back. I didn't hit her though. I have enough self-control now to control my actions even when I get that mad. I guess I just let myself get that mad though because I knew she would walk over me if I didn't get as angry as I did. The only time I ever fully lose control now is if someone were to physically harm my brother. But that's because he's my brother lol.

I mean I tried ignoring her, but it gets to a point where you have to know when to stop ignoring. She's also a lot older than her age. Like when she was 12, she looked and acted like she was 17, no lie. She's had guys 18+ ask her out before. She isn't just some 14 year old, she looks older than me lol.

You live in a toxic environment and I admire your resilience. This is a perfect example of a chaotic household that is likely more damaging than those of single parents. Learn to control your temper. It pisses people off a ton more when they feel you are unaffected by their ridiculous antics. Like @sazc said, focus on yourself. I know you have said your dad is alpha and a strong man, but he lets his emotions get the better of him. To me, that is about as beta as you can get masked behind insecurity. Unfortunately, his bad behavior is now manifesting itself in his children. Find your zen, your inner peace, and elevate yourself above the storm. you will find there is nothing but peace above the clouds.

Don't let them drag you back down!

well toxic or not that is something he will need to work out. serious mom trying to control the kids is nothig new really, I had a share of fight with my parents and my brother, in the end me and my brother hate each other and my mom is kinda docile now since I stoped caring about what she says, and belive or not being the ****y/funny, pretty much I dismiss her when she is annoying me with something blunt and funny.

here is what I can tell you to do, put limits here, lil sis want to be sassy using your things? take your things back, and ignore, don't talk, don't answers just take your thing and move, parents say to give it back? says no, tell then she is making issues to use your thing. same with the car she do that open the door and tell her out, if she refuses then take the car keys and go inside the house she will storm inside to yell, then you ignore her go back to the car and leave her there.

your only problem is you care, stop caring, stop giving then anything, do like you are doing with your parents now stop talking and give even less.

My dad is only alpha in the sense that he has sociopathic tendencies and very strong beliefs. Some of those beliefs are beta as hell, but he'll die for them, or kill you for them. He's still tough as **** just because in his life being weak meant death. He is more like a super tough/strong beta. It's kinda strange tbh. His behavior isn't manifesting in us either (it's actually more like my mother's is tbh), his behavior had other effects on us. But it screwed up my older sister who is now more or less a worthless bum lol, and my younger sister just oversteps the boundary sometimes. I already just do my own thing and am a lot happier than I was several months ago.

I mean once I took back my chromebook I ignored her. I was just threatening her and letting her know that she's crossing the line with my anger. Beforehand I did ignore it for the most part. I know that most people say to ignore, but it gets to a point where you need to do something so that they know that there will be repercussions for disrespect.

It all sounds really crazy. Why is your mother spitting on your face?! No parent should do that! That's the reason why your sister does what she does, because your parents model that the behavior is okay. Did they ever parent you? Do they guide you? Holy crap. I hope to never have those dynamics work my kids!

sazc no, I said metaphorically speaking. Not literally. It gets too complicated to explain it all and that wasn't the purpose of this thread.

and here is the problem, her creation is not you to do, you can't hit her, you can't put her grounded, you can do nothing, you can only do what you can, with is remove atencion and get your things, closing your door on her face also do wonders, even more around 14 years old with means she want to show she can do whatever she want, only thing youc an really do is stop caring, becasue if you wanted to be even more sassy then her and you would have already done it, same with my younger cousin once who was trying to be smart with me, saying loud STOP looking on her eyes angry, was enough to make her settle down, but I don't think it will work here,

only thing she want is get under your skin and she is getting it

That's kind of messed up that your younger sister would be saying stuff like this to you. Growing up, my younger sisters would never ever say something like this to me. Even my younger brothers would never say something like that to me. That indicates zero respect from you. Honestly, if you can't get respect from your younger siblings, how can you get respect from anyone?

I mean, we fought every now and then but to say "go suck a d!ck" at all times during the day is just absurd. This obviously stems from the dynamics going on in your family. Your dad not being assertive and your mom being abusive. There's no control figure in the house so the girl just acts however she wishes because she knows there will be little to no repercussion.
