So often I would see "men" dating topics arise when it comes to a guy struggling with some dating issues, and that the onus is really on HIM to keep her "entertained" and being lulled into boredom...eventually.
This is kind of equivalent to a spoiled kid getting bored of a new toy. You see, I haven't really grown up spoiled and appreciate the little things.
As far as I'm concerned, someone, ANY gender, that gets bored that easily...they are the ones with the problem and it's not up to me to supplicant their boredom. So I'm not going to listen to dating advice that caters to that mantra.
There's this one female friend I have, the only time she calls me is on her commute home from work. She doesn't wait until she gets home to call me...which I find odd. Come to find out, she's trying to alleviate her boredom on the commute. I actually called her on this.
One time when she called, I didn't have that much to say for some reason, so I was about to say I was going to head off when she said, "So tell me blah blah blah"
She said it in a way that she was deliberately trying to entertain her by coming up with random topics to keep the convo going until she got home. lol
"Bill, entertain me until I get home, please!"
Usually, I'm a funny guy, and one time I was not in that kind of mood...a woman said to me, "Make me laugh, you're always a funny guy!"
No joke, I swear I thought I was transported to the middle ages and I was wearing a court jesture costume. lol "Make me laugh, fool or OFF with your head!"
Good thing they were just female friends, because ...well, they just casual friends. But it's an interesting perspective on what men the DATE have to look forward to. lol Poor them, right?
People in general are spoiled though, they don't appreciate what they have because it probably all stems back to childhood or something where they may have had parents that would get them the newest toy that the kids are talking about at school.
For instance, my parents never got me a Nintendo in the 80s, they were like "You have your Atari...and probably 30 games, so you don't NEED a Nintendo!!" So there ya have it. I wasn't spoiled like most people are.
Made me appreciate things more, but apparently, when it comes to dating...there are a lot of ingrates out there that bore easily.
