So, today I went to have lunch with my oldest son, who is 5. I walked in and watched him for a couple minutes before I went over and had lunch. I couldn't overhear what they were talking about. I definitely observed some interesting behavior...
-Casually touched her hair
-Stared her right in the eyes
-Smiled casually, smugly, or confidently
-had her laughing
-had good posture and just looked very relaxed
-I bet they were talking about complete nonsense (he wouldn't tell me... little turd)
Am I trying to say my son will be a little player at his school? Not at all. However, this is one area where I definitely agree with Corey Wayne. Watch young boys interact with young girls. They just.. really... don't... give... a... $hit. They just have fun, play, and if someone joins them, GREAT! If nobody joins in, they are still having fun and will find someone else to play with. Mind you, my son hasn't ever seen me with a woman, other than his mom two years ago, and the casual conversations I have. I would be willing to bet all little boys are just like this...
These behaviors are naturally occuring since we learn to communicate, and sadly, we are conditioned out of them. Hopefully, I can stop that conditioning in it's tracks for my two boys. If there is one thing I can give them, is the ability to approach people, and build strong relationships.
proud dad today!
TLDR: my son is a player and he is coming for all the girls!
