Would like to hear everyone’s stance on this? do you buy gifts for plates or official GF’s & wives ??

The reason I ask is because one of My main plates has been working very hard to please me lately and she’s had the best behaviour I have seen in a woman in a long time

I know women go a bit crazy around this time of year and like to be showered in affection and gifts, as not to be left out

I have told her that officially she is not my girlfriend yet and its way too early for us to spend a lot of money on each other she accepted this

But Wondering if I Should I get her something small as a token gesture as she has been so well behaved lately

Take her out. Gifts can be thrown away or lost. Memories can't.

Token gestures are the way to go. If you want to take her out, everything is cheaper and less crowded if you don't go out on the 14th, but instead go on one of the surrounding days. Restaurants often hike up their prices on v-day.

Agreed with TMK. Take her out and show your affection through physical acts rather than materialistic items. If you live in a warmer climate and there are flowers flourishing, maybe pick one for her. Hell, go to Home Depot's garden section and pluck one. Put it in her hair or something

Uh-oh.. its almost annual "how pussiewhipped are you?" day again. What is a pussiewhipped man to do? So much pressure.

Get her a Victoria Secret gift card. If she is not hot enough to shop there, then don't get her anything. She isn't going anywhere. Like others said.. just give her your time.

Last night, with Valentine's day only 8 days away, after 4 months of dating, my dream girl told me she loves me for the first time. I'm still skipping Valentine's day.

I choose to take them out sometime around that day, but to completely avoid mentioning that holiday at all. The 13th is a great night to take them out. Then at midnight you can randomly say - oh, hey! It's Valentine's Day!

think i will probably just customise a card on-line for her and get a cheap bottle of prosecco nothing fancy but enough to avoid the whole

"you didnt get me anything for valentines so surely don't care about me "

I was at the store today picking up some junk food and there was a 2 dollar lollipop that said I'm a sucker for you so I picked it up. GF gets lonely when I'm not around so I will buy a 10 dollar teddy bear and put a few sprays of my cologne on it and she can sleep with it when I'm not around. I'll probably pick up and card and say a couple inside joke things that will illicit some positive emotions. 3 little items for under 20 bucks.

My gf isn't getting a fvcking thing for Valentine's day. That's because our 1 year is on the 15th :D

If she wants some flowers, I'll go dumpster diving behind a flower shop
Its hard to buy a gift for a woman on V-day without feeling like a complete tool.

What holiday out there peer pressures women to do things for the men in their lives? Even fathers day is not taken that seriously and most women shrug it off. These b*tches think they are levitating over us or something. Not on my watch.

Cheap and personal beats expensive and cliché every time.

I worked in restaurants before and on Valentine's Day, you could clearly see the couples sitting there with their one main course and soft drink each, silent, staring around the room at other people, just going through the motions. Pathetic really.
