So it's finally here. Just so that everybody knows, I did (secretly within my social circle) vote for Donald Trump. I say secretly because as you guys know, I mainly date black women and my family is BLACK, and they all hate this man. I mean they hate this man like he's the second coming of the KKK or something. I don't understand it and I don't get it.

But I voted for Trump because I believe DESPITE him having absolutely no political experience (which is very bad btw), I think he has the right "track" policy goals in mind in terms of better trade and other things.

I hate the Ronald Reagan "trickle down tax cut" shyt though, I just do not believe that's ever worked and all it does is take money from the Government that could be going to paydown the debts we have and fund the Social Security mandates that we have.

But it's here and I can't wait. What I can't stand though is how MANY Democrats are coming out saying they will not support Trump and aren't even giving him a chance to do anything. When certain Republicans did this to Obama 8 years ago (which was wrong for them to do) they were called RACIST for doing it. So is it RACIST to deny Trump?

Even though I am Russian and I can't vote, I did secretly vote for Trump. They did not secretly on our news show that some blacks are for Trump. I know that you guys want a change from establishment. I am hopping that Trump is a change from establishment.

But if the man is going to come to Russia and say we did **** near your border and if you do something we will pick that **** up, the man is to to be denied.

I am excited about Trump. I hope he can make America great gain. That, firstly, means get the jobs back from outsourcing. As far as it goes to making good friend with Russia, I don't care, knowing that two countries can not be friend, only partners.

I hope Trump is logical. I hope Trump is not a girl like Obama. I hope Trump and Putin can come up together and make something great.

Although I don't hate trump, I believe he spews many lies. I'm not here to start a riot, that's not what this thread is for... But you can't deny the fact that he simply does not care about the people like he says he does.

Trump does not care about you.

I was way more inspired by Obama when he was elected.

I just don't believe in any of this "patriot" crap anymore. As a country, we lack an identity. America is simply the place we live. Very few people are willing to die for our nation nowadays, in 2017.

I'm not gonna be bitter for the next 4 or 8 years. I honestly am just going to sit back and observe his decisions. He has the POTENTIAL to make america great again, I just doubt that he will.

Making America great again means getting rid of the obesity epidemic, tobacco industries, and changing how we imprison non-violent drug offenders. Making america great again means to stop giving tax breaks to the wealthy, and making health insurance damn near impossible for the average family to afford.

Ask yourself, is trump really going to directly impact your life in a positive way?

The Republicans are going to milk Trump for everything he's worth as far as it furthers the Republican agenda, which is eliminating taxes on the wealthy and slashing social services. But when it comes to the populist and nationalist ideas that got Trump elected, like repealing nafta to protect American jobs, there's no fvcking way in a million years that Republicans are going to vote to support those ideas. NAFTA powers the corporate profits that own all the politicians, on both sides. That's why the stock market keeps going up - they know Trump is never getting anything done that will hurt business.

America has a great identity.

It's the only somewhat masculine country based on western-european principles left in the world.

You can shoot guns, you have a right to free speech. We don't have those things here in Europe. Those things need to be preserved and that's what Trump is about. Not only that - I'm pretty sure Hillary would have done her best to start a war with Russia. And do you know why?? Because of the "special interests". Think I'm a tin-foil hat wearing nutter? Do your research.

So we have to just hope that Trump is allowed the wiggle room he needs to do what he needs to do to "drain the swamp", and ensure the preservation of the USA.

Besides that - we all know Hillary would have just continued doing what Barrack was doing, just turning it all up a notch. Sound good to you? You like riots? Whatever.

Hail Trump! The Law & Order president! lol

Great thread!

Ninety people have been arrested so far, smdh. I just want people to be fair and give Trump a chance. Damn, they just rushed down 12th street and someone got sucker punched by a protestor..

I think that Donald Trump DOES care about the people, even though he is bombastic, brash, and in some cases incoherent. Why? Because legitimate love and concern for his country is the only explanation for why a 70 year old billionaire with plenty on his plate already decided to run for political office (something totally new to him).

The campaign required about 100 hours per week, he jeopardized and risked his name and brand which was previously secure and would have lived long beyond him, AND he turn downed the $400,000 salary which is pennies to him. He's doing this stressful job, which will take years off his life, for free. If he were built to live to be 95, rest assured he will probably die 10-15 years earlier should he serve 8 years in office.

It's kind of sad that a speech promising to put Americans first is considered "radical" by the left wing nuts.

He did not smile once. All I could think of was that he was super pissed at what the establishment has done to this country. He probably remembers a time when women could walk down the street after dark without fear of being assaulted, when children actually got an education and when we could leave our homes without locking our front doors. This is one very serious man and it is a relief to have our first male president in eight years.

Bottom line, best inauguration speech in my lifetime. Old school. Something the Founding Fathers would have applauded.

See that yellow sign?

That is International ANSWER. They are an anarchist, communist organization who wants to overthrow the democracies of the west and have a dictatorship of the proletariat. Going back to the early 2000s these people OPENLY supported Saddam Hussein, Kim Jong Il, Ahmadinejad, Fidel Castro, and the Hamas regime in Gaza.

They support the most bloodthirsty, despotic regimes the world has ever seen and even most leftists are openly willing to denounce them. And as you can see by their crazed behavior in public, they are very sick, demented human beings.

...And that video of that thing have a breakdown makes me very happy inside

Sanctions work great, things that once were made overseas begin to be made at home. Jobs return.

I think Trump will somehow sanction his own country, come up with some sort of penalty for companies with production outside of United States.

I've been in his camp since last February for exactly the reasons @BlueAlpha1 noted.

This man could put up his bespoke loafers and relax and be filthy stinking rich for the rest of his life. He didn't do that because he cares deeply. He isn't in this for the money or the power. He already has more than enough of both.

I think he actually is more free to genuinely try and right the ship because he is wholly unconstrained by seeking power, money, or influence. He comes totally from a place of strength which frees him to make decisions without the pressure most politicians succumb to. This is why he calls out the establishment and this is why the establishment is wary of him.

His biggest issue will be management of the contempt he will have to deal with due to his position of strength. That will require insight, understanding and cunning. How he handles his foes will determine his success.
