Do it because that is what is best for YOU. Most Asian, Indian, and Arab dudes I've known have had major issues with overly possessive parents. A lot have had to deal with their parents well past the age of 25 and they just listened to all of their nagging. After a certain age, I'd say 22, it's time to tell mom and dad to leave you alone. I find a lot of guys of foreign cultures who moved to the USA at a young age tend to struggle a lot from this to where their parents won't let them grow up and be independent. Helicopter parenting does lead to guys with confidence issues so maybe your victim mentality stems from that.

For most guys, that's not doable. If you did that at that age, good job but it's likely because your parents weren't so forceful and intrusive. For most ethnic guys, especially Asian and Indians, the parents do not back off at all and have a tight and restrictive role in their lives. Hard to develop the guts to tell them to get lost until you've been away to college, seen how much they ****ed you up, and then grown a bit older to see what a bunch of screw ups they are as well as having a path of being independent and on your own.

One other thing about location, since there are a lot of brown guys on this thread, stay away from NYC if you want white girls. In my time here, I will say the only white girls that go for brown dudes are the foreign ones that aren't local to the city. The ones from the city or the region, I have to say they really hate brown people. @SmooveMoves brought it up at some point in this thread and I didn't check it but there is definitely a lot of dislike and disgust towards brown guys from a lot of the local whites here. Some Italian chicks might try it but if you're a brown dude in NYC, do know that it is going to be slim pickings if blondes are your thing.

You can always go foreign if you like but know that it is going to be a 50:50 kind of deal if you do cold approach, if she is foreign she'll go for you but if she is a local, not a ****ing chance.

I kinda sympathize with @skinnyguy to some extent, don't even get why it is, but local white women of NYC are as picky about race as you can get, they hate brown people. Especially if it is the hot blondes you're aiming for.

They were pretty bad, worse than most ethnic families actually and if anything it made me rebel even earlier. I even made several threads about my dad because we were getting close to fist-fighting several times. Oh well, I got what I wanted.

Listen, I don't race-bait and I don't believe we are operating in 1945.....but the REALITY is that women usually prefer to date men of their own race. That's not just white women, black women do that too, most black women prefer to be with black men.

As a result of that, any guy hitting on a girl of a different race is usually going to have some sort of higher hill to climb in "general". Now, this isn't to say the hill can't be climbed (such as in 1942 when it was completely socially outlawed) but to try and act like there isn't a HILL to be climbed....in general.....is being completely disingenuous.
