I think the ideal balance is to care in the moment and to detach afterward. A lot of guys fail at the second part. Getting over a breakup--especially the first one--is a b1tch; and I think it's something that a lot of guys aren't given the proper tools to pull themselves out of that on their own. Telling that guy to stop caring or spin plates is putting the cart before the horse--he doesn't even want to get better yet. But telling him it's OK to feel bad and blame her or whatever is equally unproductive.

A lot of guys who have the second part down aren't so good with the first part. In fact, a lot of them, in response to emotional trauma they didn't have the tools to process at the time, have so suppressed the part of them that cared too much that they can't even empathize or relate with that aspect of a personality when they recognize it in other people. However, if you genuinely don't care about the girls you're fvcking (or purposely repress any gesture that might be perceived as 'beta'), every girl you fvck long term will turn into conniving, manipulative b1tches (ask me how I know lol).

If you can only choose one, the ability to detach will be more beneficial to your agency, your mental well-being, etc. But somewhere down the line, at least for me, I've had the best results by integrating those two aspects of my personality, which isn't easy and I definitely broke a few eggs in the process. I look at the girls I'm with as replaceable but not irreducible--meaning I can always find another girl, probably even one that I like better or have better chemistry with overall, but I won't ever find the same girl. And I definitely won't ever have the same relationship with any other girl, because contexts change, circumstances change, the things I'm looking for in a partner change, etc. So I make an effort to really appreciate the girls I'm with--and I've found they appreciate the fact that, even though they know I could go out and find someone else or even if they know I'm not someone they could procure for the long term, I took the time to appreciate what they provided to my life.

First of all it isn't an educated response, neither does it take much thought to use the phrase over and over again. It's the very definition of a pat answer.

I'm struggling to see what's wrong with PK's posts. You may not like the presentation, but what's actually in them is spot on. I've never seen him demand anyone become a caricature of the red pill, just to take what they can learn from his posts.
