It happens to the best of us: that hot girl we met is a flake. Or she went ghost. Or she is simply an attention wh*re who was stringing you along. Your time has been wasted and your ego may be a bit bruised. What now? You can next her and forget her, but I say f*ck with her a bit.

I've been trying a technique I made up to get closure and to "win" in the end. It's worked three times this year, 100% success rate, but a small sample size. Some will see it as petty and a waste of time... and that's okay. It kind of is. But it's pretty funny and can help some guys bounce back mentally. I dub it the "Wrong Contact Text."

After things have halted with a girl based on her terms and you're no longer in contact, keep her number in your phone, wait a few weeks and text her "accidentally' with a text intended for someone else. If it fits the text, throw a name in starting with the same letter as her name. For example, if her name is Samantha, mention another S name in the text. Either way, you want to say something that will almost always get her to respond through piqued curiosity, with the goal being to appear that you selected the wrong contact in your phone and accidentally texted her instead of the new girl you're gaming.

"Holy **** Shelby, you won't believe what happened at work today. I almost got fired for it."

"I had fun too babe. Remember that thing we talked about? Well I had the strangest dream last night."

This accomplishes two things; it shows that you have other chicks to talk to (even if you don't) and will almost always get her to respond because of the ambiguity of the text. Then... you simply go ghost. She'll usually reply two or three times trying to get your attention. The tables will have turned. Don't respond. Things have ended on your terms now and you have moved on.

Here's a real world example I used not 5 days ago with a flaky, time wasting hb9 named Sheila.

Me: I had fun last night Sarah. That movie you let me borrow was f*cking nuts btw. Couldn't believe that twist ending.
Her: Sarah lol. i think u texted the wrong person
Her: what movie did you watch?
(after a day of no contact): Her: I guess we aren't friends anymore? :/

Haha this sounds brilliant, anyone else tried it?

This is good stuff. However, I can think of some girls not buying it. If I have her number there are texting apps that show a profile pic. If I write a normal SMS she'd be like: who on earth sends SMSs? But that's because of my context.

How do you proceed after?
Do nothing. It's meant to get closure and to get the last laugh. A mental ego boost if you will.

I just use my Android's basic SMS, no pictures. I actually thought of this technique because I really DO text the wrong people a lot.

Or you can just delete her contact and move on.
You could. But sending a few sentences to boost your morale and knock her off her pedestal, imo, is a good thing for your self esteem and takes up very little of your time.

Theoretically, yes. However, if she doesn't respond, it can dampen your morale even more.

Also true. However in a nothing to lose everything to gain situation I'd say it's worth a shot. I'll keep trying it on failed attempts and note any time it doesn't work.

The way I see it no matter what is if you're doing this you haven't moved on.

Have to agree. This is just the sort of thing I would never do, it just sounds so pathetic on the face of it. Making up some imaginary girl to get someone's interest? Jan did this on the Brady Bunch with "George Glass", the name has even become a kind of pop culture slang for a made up boyfriend or girlfriend.

If you want to do this sort of thing, have at it. I'm not saying it can't work. But it's too much "game playing" for me. I don't like to play games, I pretty much refuse to.

I delete the number, always.

One time i got flaked by a chick, but she has seen me in a train station maybe two weeks later.

She then texted me that we should meet, ive texted her a place and time, but never came. She must have called me like 2 times and texted me that im an @sshole.

I've actually done this. I've had success with it - they respond with evidence that their hamster wheel is spinning. I usually respond with an oops and emojii. This actually makes them respond again, betraying more of their jealousy back to you. Then after that, if it fits the situation, I go dark. Or just say "Take care" - it's actually a ton of fun.

Kinda funny.. Seems a little obvious to me... I mean don't you get her name at the same time as the number?

You do. You want to appear as if you went to select a new name to text in your contacts and accidentally selected hers because they were so close together.

Closure: if she is attractive and left you she found another guy during your relationship
Not always. Girl that I did this too recently kept saying she wanted to do stuff but would just flake. Attention wh*re.
