What say you all....Are men in the decline?

  • Yep, men are dinosaurs and have no place in society except to be perpetually shamed by feminists.

OK, I entered the work force in the mid-nineties, have focused on career, and been fairly busy since then. I got into a bad marriage, tried way too long to make it work, became a regular reader here 7 years ago. Thanks to this site, I found a great girl who got me out of my bad marriage and I recently got back with that girl. It's 2016, and I feel like I'm finally in a really good place in my life for the first time ever!

Good times, right? But....the world is a different place from the mid-nineties. I'm reading a Facebook post from my ex brother-in-law. This guy is super smart, co-founded a cloud-based company about eight years ago, which he sold. He's presented at Google and Apple. He's in his mid- thirties. Why he married my ex-SIL, is beyond me. He could do much better.

Anyway, he posts this article on Facebook, which is basically a male-shaming article, pretty much blaming all men for the recent tragedy in FL. The article speaks how men do such horrific things like how we as a collective whole used the atom bomb on Japan and how women wouldn't do such a thing. It's basically blaming all men for any bad thing a single man has ever done. I kind of think there were some women on the Manhattan project, just saying.

Here's some highlights: "The word for what is wrong with men appears momentarily with every mass shooting, but it is never unaccompanied. That word is masculinity...There is something wrong with men — something obviously, undeniably, tragically wrong....Society doesn’t teach us toxic ideas about manhood. It teaches us a toxic idea called manhood."

This author is a male feminist. Why are there even male feminists, it's not going to get them the ladies. I imagine it just gets them friend zoned.

OK, I figure it's a one-off, my BIL is from Portland after all.

But this morning I get an Amazon book recommendation. The book description states "People are talking about the decline of men....crisis of masculinity....". This book concludes "The way of men is a primal survival gang."

I feel like I've been asleep for the past 20 years, just woke up, and I don't recognize this world anymore. What happened guys???

Decline of men? Really? Are we going out like the dinosaur? What's going on?

So feminism has claimed another "man", is the gist of your post? This is not news. It's only news to you because it happened so close to you. It must suck as a male (notice i didn't say man) to go through life having been neutered by women and with the type of tripe you posted about what he wrote, he's never gettings his balls out of their purse again.

The thing no one ever seems to mention though is that males have a choice as to whether or not they put their balls in the purse in the first place.

It's concerning for sure. I remember thinking about having to deal with AMOG, now that is nearly gone. Now you deal with male shamers.

I was just talking to a guy the other day about how it seems that high-T old crusty man doesn't really exist anymore. Lots of things may contribute to the declining T-levels, but you just don't see the ****strong wide shouldered John Wayne looking guy anymore. Even the bigger young boys today just look soft.

Knowing all this, I can only imagine that sexual frustration is worse than ever before. I mean, we have LEGIONS of these emasculated skinny jean wearing freaks out there.

I had a mid 30's female tell me just the other day that she has never seen so many "pussified" men. I was glowing inside, while I just smiled and listened to her rant about it. She was exactly right.

As you get older and learn more about the history of the world, you begin to see how every thing moves in circles. I don' t think we are even close to turning the corner. Men will continue to lose masculinity. One of the things that has likely led to this is boys being raised by single mommies. A boy can't learn to be a true man when all he has for a teacher is his mother and there has been far too much of that. Men also aren't being trained to act like men in our Military like they were during WWII and Vietnam. If you ever knew many war vets, I think you get my point. Most were pretty manly.

BMP2CPM- your chump of an ex brother in law fails to mention that the US was attaked by Japan first. If you don't want the risk of payback ten-fold, then don't fuhk with the greatest military in the world. And those same "Toxic" men that authorized dropping an atomic bomb on Japan, also went in and spent millions of dollars and several years helping to revitalize Japans govt and economy. Bet he didn't mention that either. And Japan never yanked on our chain ever again. They got the message. End of Story.

I hope you set your ex brother in law straight.

ps. and if you ever want to see what real men went thru, go watch some Vietnam documentaries on Netflix. You had to be tough to make it.

Amen to the Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Sam Elliott types. They definitely helped shape a generation.

I agree with your post ,except for that

I hope you set your ex brother in law straight.
Its like trying to preach red pill to a blue pill beta who is cuckd and fvckd in a sexless marriage.

He won't learn unless he wants to. I know its all in good spirit of support but I believe it can only backfire big time.

OP: the Florida shooter was likely gay-shamed somehow.

Saw his photo right after on the news and said "he is gay"
discussed with coworkers... "how can you say he is gay from a photo..."

Now it has come out he was indeed gay.
