23 right now and I feel like my peers are still in party mode while I'm trying to start my career. I'm seeing everybody live off daddy or the government, travel the world, party through college with a political science major, go out to bars every night, get all the sex, and etc. It's to the point where I think this country is doomed because there's no real incentive to work for money anymore. At what age do these people hit a wall or is this just life forever?

Everybody's life takes different paths. Your observations might speak most about you and the types of people you hang around with. As somebody who only established his career at 28, I'd say it has been fascinating to lean that there are a ton of bright people using their early 20s to do great things like begin academic or professional careers. I just never knew them because I never hung around them. You can't predict who will do what, but I'd say most people aren't especially gifted, motivated or disciplined, and they end up falling into positions that life offers them, regardless of the pay or whether they love that opportunity. So in general, I'd say most people don't outgrow their earlier tendencies as much as they continue them until life or society "interferes" enough to force them to shape up. Then they do it out of weak necessity rather than personal strength.

I believe the turning point is 30 for most men while some keep "feeling" it already in their late 20s.

However before 25 its a party with no second tought, while from 25 to 30 is a party while trying to keep control.

Personally I felt invincible till my late 20s, after 30 you start to consider yourself accountable for your life choices in all fields, from the work one to the physical one.

When I run epistane at 28 I tought it was no big deal, right now at 31 I consider both positive and negative sides as well, same thing when it comes of having sex with a girl I dont totally know or passing or accepting a professional opportunity.

Cant really tell about what happens later cause I didnt reach it, I feel however that it all depends from what you achieved, your 50s can be a curse if you didnt bang enough women or grabbed a great social position while it can be great if you are in the right position with the right shape and surrounded from the right people.

Lets say that the younger you are the more you can bullsh1t.

I knew a lot of science, engineering, and finance majors who made good grades due to working hard during the weekdays yet still found the time to party on the weekends. Do not pay too much attention to social media, it is only the highlight of someone's life and not what is normally happening for them. As for traveling, a lot of rich kids do that after college to find themselves and see the world before they have to buckle down.

Life can be unfair like this, most of the students I knew in college who had the best grades, partied, and had high paying jobs lined up after graduation were often good looking socially outgoing students, often from wealthier (solidly upper middle class) families. Fraternities and sororities were packed with good looking people who made their way into medicine, finance, and other prestigious careers after graduation. Tons of Greek Life kids found fun jobs that paid a reasonably good amount and moved to big cities after graduation. A lot of this might just have to do with how kids who are raised in good environments with involved parents who try teach them the work life balance at an early age tend to be successful in life while having some serious fun along the way.

You would think that the introvert who was rejected by the party animals in college would eventually be more successful than them but I have not found that to be true. Most of the times it was the introvert who moved back home to try and look for a job or had to suffer from post grad depression or the quarter life crisis due to not knowing what to do with life. I found these deep thinking types to become cynical and complain about how unfair life is, they were right, it can be very unfair.

For most of the good looking types I mentioned, I think 25 is pretty much the age where things start to change. The nights out and partying now turn into something more serious. The idea of marriage crosses the minds of a lot of the girls and even the guys themselves.

From 25 to 30 is when these people seem to go into crisis mode about relationships and life in general.

27 I didn't get into med school after working in medical field/nursing and still 35k in loans. I decided to switch majors and go back to school this coming fall. I've been working 2 jobs to prepare for tuition rates. It'll be 31 before I'm entry to lower mid level construction management even with all my experience. My advice, make sure you have a 10-15 year plan and really enjoy what you do. You're young man, Grind away and even then you're not guaranteed anything.

I understand ever post here, but I feel like I'm more in line with the introvert that ambitious player talked about. I was in a fraternity and I saw that the super frat stars had it way easier in life than me and I noticed it. What do I do to keep from losing my mind?

I know exactly what you're going through, this **** used to depress the hell out of me years ago. Just looking around and seeing how some of these dudes apparently have it all mainly because they had it easier growing up. The truth is man, life is a ***** and it is unfair and unequal as it gets. The frat stars had great parents, ideal circumstances growing up, good grades, good friends, and of course, the girls and parties. Many of these guys had kickass lives before they even entered college. All that being said, there is definitely a fix for your situation.

The fact that you found the time to think a lot about this tells me that you probably have some time on your hands and you're in your 20s so not all is lost. Here is what I would recommend for you:

1. Fix your lifestyle, seriously. Eating garbage foods and having unhealthy sleeping habits (not getting much sleep at night and sleeping in during the day) will make you feel ****ty and screw with your emotions. I recommend working out 5 days a week and getting some form of physical exercise during those days.

2. Read good books, you have the time and now is the time to read them. I know this advice sounds cheesy but believe me, it works. You will found out so much about yourself, your life, what you've been doing wrong, and how to approach situations through them. Don't read literature, read good self-help books that have advice you can apply in real life. I am sure you can find a good list if you ask the guys here and on other communities like it but Models by Mark Manson was a good read for me as well. Read books that have actually helped guys has done wonders for me.

3. Pick up a good hobby or a nice side gig that will help you meet people. I think some guys here can post more about this but I think this varies so much based on the person. Most of this will be trial and error but you want something that has a good mix of guys, girls, and is engaging. A friend of mines did acting classes while working full time and he met his girlfriend that way, she is a strong 8.

4. Remember that social media = highlight reel. If you really know a lot of those frat stars, you knew that they had their problems too. It can be easy to feel depressed as you see a group of people smiling at a party in that bright colored photo while you are sitting home alone all depressed, not being involved. Once you do end up in those situations, you realize it wasn't all you made them out to be in your head, a lot if it was just hype and plenty of it is fake. So many of these people gossip about each other and drop each other like flies in a heartbeat. Fraternities and sororities with a strong sense of camaraderie are not as common as you think. Very few guys in a fraternity were "frat stars", most were screwing the same girl.

5. If it is of any comfort, there is some truth to the peaking early part. A lot of the frat stars I knew from back in college either married early or hit the real world and found that without their tight social circle, it took a lot of adjustments to get good. Tons of these guys get entitled and can't handle the competition in the real world because their status which they had in college has now died down. Some adjust and still kick ass but most others, they either get married or burn out.

Once you've put in all the work, are busy as it gets, have your group of friends thanks to the hobbies/side gigs, and some girl(s) in your life, you won't think too much about this. Life is what you want it to be and though I used to hate the hell out of mines through most of my college years, I ****ing love it right now.

This starts with high school status and then college status (which must be re-earned to some degree), and then your neighborhood status. Women are highly social and 90% of they guys they like are the popular guys in their environment. And half of these dorks only travel in groups of 8. When you move to a new state for a new job and start all over it's a wake-up call. But if you move enough times you learn how to adapt and soon you'll find that you can enter a room where you don't know anyone and win over the crowd and be treated like royalty. Then you'll have the Danger Man aura of the international player.

Yep, I graduated 3 months ago and I'm working my first real job in a small town. You know it's bad when you find an excuse to drive 3 hours just to go to Target or eat Indian food. I workout and lift regularly, but I have suffered a neck strain from a shoulder workout, so I'm going to take a week break off lifting and cardio for now. I want to join hobbies, but the only hobbies out here are competitive sports which I hate. If I can find acting classes in this small ass town then that would be nice. I honestly might go back south or attempt my dream of moving to Los Angeles in a year or less.

The frat stars did have their issues and the ones that moved out of their comfort zone took a year or two to adjust. Some struggled and are doing great, some stayed in their comfort zone, and some are struggling.

Should I just plan to move out this town?

I will say that most of the fraternity guys I met in college lack the ability to do that, majority are struggling now in their social life. Most I knew were hostile towards outsiders to Greek Life, relied on alcohol for most interactions, were highly judgmental of about everyone, and had a habit of trying to one-up people around them. Looking back at it, you could tell which ones were going to crash and burn after college and which ones were going to make it.

The ones who relied solely on their fraternity status and mostly hung out within the Greek circle are doing terribly now, the ones who branched out and were cool guys have adjusted just fine.

If you're not into competitive sports or if you hate em, I got bad news man. Competitive sports are as manly and appealing as it gets. There is a reason that athletes get girls at all phases of life. IMO, competitive sports really help you grow as a guy and bring out the best in you.

TBH dude, I've read your posts talking about how most women are crazy in Fargo and now complaining about life in the city did. I think before you move anywhere, it might be time to work on your mindset. I can easily see you making the same complaints in NYC that you're making here.

Why does it matter? I'm not in high school or college anymore for sports. For the trashy girls, every girl up here seems to have a tattoo and are either alcoholics or crazy lonesome feminists. I don't live in Fargo, I live like 3 hours from Fargo in this small ass town. I come from a city with more people than this whole state, so that should tell you something. I might experience the same issues in NYC, but I've never even lived anywhere remotely close to NYC, so how is that true? The stuff I like to do is in big major cities, not bfe farmville North Dakota with ice fishing and bud light drinking. I'll give my past 5 experiences with girls here to prove to you that I'm not lying.

1) Meet up with her and her friends at a pregame for some concert. Her friend tells her that I can't stay the night and she starts freaking out and they get in a fist fight.

2) Meet up with this girl and her friend at her apartment to go out drinking. This girl thinks she's black and her and her black friend just twerk on snapchat the whole time. In addition, they keep talking about basketball players, rappers, and trolling black guys on snapchat. I'm pretty much a Carlton Banks/Lenny Kravitz type of black guy, so the situation is awkward and I'm revolted by these girls. They keep giving me drinks, so I assume they want me to stay lol. We get to the bar, she gives me a drink and I notice every black guy we walk by, they happen to know. I lose them eventually, call her and get no answer. My messages go to read, so I know she's screwing around. Run in to them later and they accuse me of ditching them and they have 2 black basketball players with them. The girl that invited me is past her limit, drinking on water, and all over one of the basketball players. Of course a drunk fight ensues and I end overpowering one of them and the other backs off once they realize I could kill both of them very easily. I walk away and I haven't spoken to that girl since lol.

3) This girl doesn't drink, claims to be Ms.Independent, goes to church every sunday, is bossy, hates curse words, and the only other state she has been was south dakota.

4) I met this girl through a mutual friend. She's older and you can tell she had a lot of "fun" with black guys in her early days. I'm just not attracted to this girl because she tans, she doesn't drink at all because she's a changed person, and she has a lot of skeletons in her closet.

5) My topic about whales is all about this girl.

Right now I have 5 girls that want to screw me, but I'm not interested in them at all because they are nothing but trashy *****s with jungle fever for Tyrones. In addition, most of my prospects live 3 hour round trip drive away, so I have logistics against me too.

You know your problem? You think waaay to f#cking much.
Listen, you just finished college and you already are 100% sure you arent going to be living in that state long..

You aren't looking for Ms Right, you should be looking for Ms Right Now. Why do you qualify girls so hard? You sound like a stuck up chick.

The only qualifications the girls around you should have to have are "when she puts her lips on my d#ck do i get an erection?"

You make your own life miserable get out of your own way..

No offense, when you live in Baltimore any place could sound livable. I don't like driving 3 hours on a Saturday to Target to get something I could have gotten across the street on any day of the week in Tennessee. I'm not culturally fit for this state whatsoever. In addition, why are you against a guy having standards for women?

Dhoul, get outta your head man. You remind me of one of my friends who is this nerdy black guy that complains about society all the time and rejects decent girls due to his unrealistic standards.
