Screw that sh1t, where is gunkid when you need him? A .25 bullet would clean this problem up nicely. I once gave a homeless man a starbucks coffee ($4.75), he threw it back at me and screamed that he didn't like cream. I had another guy threaten me outside of a nightclub when he walked right up to me and asked me for money for food. I told him that I could help him get a job instead.

Fvck homeless people, Brazil had the right idea, anyone caught on the streets after a certain hour without something to do or somewhere to go would be shot. Drug addicts are useless to society, not to mention the do-gooder idiots who try and help them. I've been working from my 14th birthday, prior to that I had a paper route, I don't know why gimme-dats feel that others should prop up their aimless lifestyle.

If that were me, I'd of offered them a bowl of rat poison chicken noodle suprise.

I occasionally have to do work in homeless shelters, so I get to see inside the system.

I don't give to the homeless nor to beggars. My city has plenty of programs to help them out and give them money. That's what tax dollars are for. If they cannot make good use of the money they get from my tax dollars, then they don't deserve to be supported.

I understand that people can fall upon hard times. I get that. However, hard times shouldn't last for multiple years, and I see the same people over and over when I go to the shelters. To them, that is their permanent home. They don't leave.

I honestly think that the homeless shelters should be outside of the city and that they should be supported for no more than six months. If they can't get a job past six months, then they should be kicked out of the shelter and forced to fend for themselves for food and safety. If they die, then that's called "natural selection" and "survival of the fittest".

I have dealt with my share of "poor" people, some as of late. being poor today is not the same as it used to be . The ones today know that they will find some sucker to eventually feed them before they have to do any real work and contribute to society so they can eat. they will bounce from sucker to sucker and keep eating for as long as possible. It's like a game to them to beat society without having to do some real work. How long can I go? they may do bare minimum real work in the gaps between suckers, but have no intention of making it a permanent part of their daily routine.

That's a bit extreme. I was homeless for a while. Maybe we need a place for them to go and a way to help better themselves along with some hope.

Sure a lot of them are *******s. But many are just having a hard time and literally have no way in sight to change their life.

See, I don't really buy that 5hit when it comes to a lot of them. I'm not sure what the programs are like in the US, but here in Canada we pretty much allow them to do whatever they want and continue to support them. It's a bytch on our tax dollars to continually help people who don't want to help themselves.

Again, I think putting the shelters outside the city is the way to go. If they're homeless, they get transported out there. That's less incentive for drug dealers and 5hit to come around selling stuff, and it eliminates the problem of them going out and begging for money (which should be punishable by fine or jail if they're not homeless). They'd have to go through all the necessary programs to help them get back on their feet. If they don't get their 5hit together in a reasonable amount of time, security keeps them locked out of the shelter, and they have to fend for themselves in the open countryside. If they can't do that, then they die because they have no desire to help themselves anyway.

That's when our tax dollars would actually be put to GOOD use when it comes to the homeless.

Here their are certain shelters that have resources to get employment, go to school and other stuff. It should be all about helping them fix their lives and get back on their feet. That shelter also did drug tests and breathalyzers.

They should be forced up to the Baffin Islands in the winter time where they are free to wander the streets as much as they like.

You don't need to do that stuff if the shelter is in the middle of fvcking nowhere. What are they going to do? Snort gravel?
They'll find a way trust me. Some of the guys get a social security check and when they get it they stay at a cheap motel, get hookers, do drugs and alcohol until they are broke and then go back to the shelter. But this isn't all of them. Some just either got fvcked over or made mistakes. Many are divorced or going through one.

One guy was running a business, so he claimed, but fvcked up financially, from the shelter. Honestly the way he seemed I believe it. He was reserved, white, well spoken and sober. He explained what he did for work in great detail.

Some guys were young with potential (smart) but something must have happened to them and they really fvcked up and had no security nets, so they ended up at a shelter. This is actually better that they don't have security nets. I think as a man if you're being a fvck up you need to be kicked to the curb and either you sink or swim. It makes you harder in some ways. Give them a way out that requires honor, courage and commitment. No free.

Not all of these homeless men are the same. Different ages, backgrounds, circumstances. Most would benefit from a mentor who can understand them but they must respect them.

I'd think, as red pill aware men, you'd have more empathy.

Of course many are just alcoholics or addicts who have been taught they're victims of white people their whole lives which isn't good.

Sh!t. I was working while living at a shelter.

It's just tough to even get a sh1tty job if you're at a shelter, so many say fvck it, why try.

What we need is to help them to help themselves. Resources.

Things sometimes are not so simple.

But when have they been any more than a minor annoyance to you? Maybe you should learn to not take things so personally and have some empathy. Being so fvcked and not having many options to get yourself out of the hole you're in can affect your mental health. They didn't do anything that bad to you.

Actually my tax dollars pay for their consistent use of the Canadian medical system. My tax dollars go to pay for 'homeless shelters' which basically translates to 'free food for junkies' and my tax dollars pay for the welfare system to provide them with $700/monthly plus a small 1 or 2 bedroom house. Our welfare system gives people WAAAAY too much stuff, to a point where there is almost no incentive to work at all. Why work when you can stay home, get paid to do drugs and play video games so long as you go line up on the employment line and then do your best not to show up to work. Why should I pay for your mistakes in life? Why should I have to pay for some lazy ass who would NEVER help me out. I've never been given free money every month, infact I bet I pay at least that in taxes... it sure would be nice if Justin Trudumb gave me free dental for a year and the ability to purchase real estate with nothing down.

I don't think you quite understand the social welfare systems here Sprayarc. I'm guessing you are from Murica?
But when have they been any more than a minor annoyance to you?
When they take my tax money to be lay abouts. My wife came here from abject poverty and had a JOB in the first 3 weeks. These people have lived in luxury their entire lives and can't manage to pull a job after 30 some years??? Its not only insulting, its down right rude and disgusting. Have mental problems? Fvck I have life threatening HEART problems but I still manage to go to work and pay my bills.

Yeah that's the wrong way to do it. You have to help them out of their rut by teaching them to help themselves not enable them to continue being degenerates.

A swift kick to the ass is the only thing that is going to encourage these people.

God helps those who help themselves.

I'm all for a hand up for those that fall on hard times. And taking care of the least among us that literally cannot care for themselves is a good thing. That would be less than 5% of otherwise tax paying citizens.

We've been at a whole 'nother level in the US for generations now. Multi-generational welfare for food, housing, income support, health care and you-name-it is corrosive of individuals and the nation.

I generally don't touch racial issues on this forum and even discourage it simply because it's a regional issue. However, it unfortunately comes into play with regard to the homeless and unemployed in Canada...

Our welfare system gives people WAAAAY too much stuff, to a point where there is almost no incentive to work at all.
...and this goes for the average person here. However, if you're entitled to Treaty annuity payments simply because of your status as Indian or Metis, you're entitled to more money. Not only that, if you have children, you're entitled to extra money for each of them. It's on the Government of Canada website. Now, let's get diagnosed with a disability (anxiety!) and we'll diagnose all the children with ADHD. The person in question is now entitled to disability benefits for each person with a disability. A person who qualifies for all these benefits will be earning more money NOT working than I do working, and my job pays pretty decent.

The birthrate of every minority in Canada is on the decline with exception of indian/metis people. That's because we're practically paying them to reproduce. Guess what minority dominates the homeless? Now, let's do some more math....

Increase of Metis/Indian population + Majority of homeless being Metis/Indian = more tax dollars needed to support the growing homeless population.

THIS IS A PROBLEM.

Our entire country is going to work itself into poverty simply because we're giving away too much money to those who are unemployed and homeless.

My dad had a friend who didn't work. He was constantly telling people, "the government can force me to attend school, but they can't force me to go to work. They have to support me. It's in the constitution." He is correct.

My ex-wife has taken the same position. After I kicked her out, she quit her job and started living on assistance. She's become a full time student and has been attending school for the past 5 years. The government pays for her apartment, for her food, her schooling, clothing for the children, and she gets disability for at least one child (she may have wormed her way to get it for both kids and herself; I have no clue). As long as she passes her courses, her schooling will be paid for.

If she wants to remain on assistance, all she has to do is say "Well, I decided being a nurse isn't right for me, but I'm interested in becoming an architect". Now she can go back in school to become an architect, and remain unemployed.

This is all bull5hit. These programs are in place to "help" people, but it just ends up hurting our economy. More drastic measures need to be taken if we're to get people employed and off the streets. We're coddling their feelings too fvcking much. But that's what Canada is all about: not hurting people's feelings.

I have no clue what the system is like down in the US, but this is how ours is, and it's fvcking bull5hit.

As most that receive welfare benefits in the US are 'white', I fail to see a racial issue here.
