Exactly what Soutbound29 and Marmel and some others have said. Give it five or 10 years and you will really resent having to pay for things like bog paper. That's right, you'll be paying hard earned money to wipe your own backside. So suck it up, quit your whining (you sound like you've got it pretty easy compared to many), and appreciate the freebies while they last.

Sounds like not many of you can give the boy decent advice as your becoming emotional due to your resentment of him not having the same financial obligations as yourselves. If you had a brain, you wouldn't have such little money that you resent having to buy toilet paper. I don't think when he's a doctor that will be one of his financial concerns.

It's all good. I understand their point of view. They just seem to have forgotten how it feels like to be my age, or if they do, they probably didn't stress over physical fitness as much as I do. And they probably slept more than me as a teenager. This is just one journey that opened up flaws in my character. I just gotta try to fix them.

Wow. Trenchant analysis!

You probably got a four year degree in basket weaving, applied for a CEO position and can't figure out why you didn't hear back yet.

Whatever you're talking about, it sounds irrelevant.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

"Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success" Albert Schweitzer

I feel you kid. I hated school with a passion. My teenage years were not the most enjoyable. I wanted
to go to school were my friends were going and also because it was a kind of technical school. But on the
advise of a cvnt of a teacher my cvnt mother enroled me in a cvnt school with cvnt priests and the likes. Apparently to curb a rebelious streak. But where was that rebelious streak coming from? Living in a crazy house with parents always fighting. Big family. Always conflict. So school to me was like prison....always fights, always drama, always conflict. Then I'd go home...always fights, always drama, always conflict...

People always saying to me "school years are the best years of your life". Now i'm in my thirties can I look back and say "oh they were the best days of my life"? Hell NO!!!

Has life got easier?? Hell Yess!!! granted maybe maybe I can say that because I haven't got kids....

but maybe what I learned from my teenage years has given me the ability to weather life's storms easier........I've lived in 3 different countries, travelled in countless...yes I have to work.....but I'm free to make my own decisions....

Your main mission right now has to be making yourself happy. Use this unhappy situation to your advantage. Try to overcome it. Try to keep a positive frame and one that says "I'm not going to let anything or anybody bring me down" You'll come out a lot stronger later on.

Read a few pages of a positive, life enhancing book each day (or listen to the audiobook) I would suggest one to start: "Man's search for meaning"

The only reason that people say life gets more difficult is because when you're a man, we live in a society were nobady cares about you (as a man/unless you're powerful). A women can get looked after by the state, she can marry a rich sucker, if she falls she has her own gender to look after her (women have a gener bias that we generally don't have) there will always be white knights and betas that will come to her rescue, we don't have such luxeries. If you're a man you have a sink or swim dichtomy. If you sink as a man nobody cares in society so you must pull yourself up by your bootstraps. So this is a perfect opportunity for you go become stronger.

Man's search for meaning animated book review:

the point is that they can take everything away from you...except your attitude. But it's up to you to cultivate your attitude.

Have a look at Antifragile animated review too

You know, you can have your studies, you can have your career, you can have your social life....

...but you need to develop your attitude. little by little....makes life more fun!!

That's also what I've been wondering about too: whenever people say it gets easier, it gets harder, but whenever they say it gets harder, it really just gets easier. It's been like that throughout the vast majority of my life so I would assume that when the members on this board scoff at me and tell me it's only getting harder, I always wonder how much truth really is in their statements.

When you leave school, you gain more autonomy. It only gets harder if you can't handle your **** right. I assume everyone on this thread lives in the first world. We're not leaving school to choose between building on unsafe sites 14 hours a day or driving a taxi in India for 2 dollars an hour. If you are semi intelligent, work hard and don't do anything foolish, life should just get better and better until age starts to catch up with you. I also hated school and had a pretty crap time at home but things have gradually improved in the last 3 years of my life since leaving school. Only advice I can give you is to aim high, PLAN where you're looking to get to, and save all the money you can while you're young and don't have many financial obligations.
