Before 50 shades came out I had an almost 50 shades experience a while ago with a chick when myspace was popular. (A long while ago).

Sent some hot chick some idiotic message I usually send and she replied, few back and forths, got her number, talked on the phone.

After I got her going over the phone she wanted me to take her to a hotel tie her up, spank her, gag her, have her pretend to be fighting me off and letting me take her and have my way with her, every thing to dominate her.

A week later we were planning to just MEET. As I wasn't sure if she was worse than her pics and hang out then later on me go there and get it on.

She drove two hours to see me. She looked much better in person and was feeling me up, we made out and I wanted to bang the living hell out of her but as it was a Sunday and I had a sh1t load to do for work the next day couldn't go out to a hotel all night and suggested coming to her place the following two weeks as I was leaving for vacation mid week.

Wound up the chick was a lunatic. Scientologist, wanted to put her fingers in my azz while I ****ed her (wasn't going to happen), and when I got back and contacted her she went off claiming we werent together?? WTF? Started rambling on about making out with Pauly Shore..No joke then had a picture of her kissing him on her page. LMAO. No joke.

So it was an "almost" 50 shades but not quite. No surprises the chick was a total friggin loon. Would've most likely wanted to cut my d1ck off as foreplay. Hot...but completely crazy.

I should mention also that the guy in the book practically worships the girl. No one turns him on the way she does, no one gets him to break his own rules like she does, he is as swept away by her as she is by him. I mention this because this type of reaction is very much what SoSuave tells you NOT to do. Don't bend to her frame, don't give her as much she gives you, etc. - kind of an "act like you've been there before" attitude.

It's similar to Twilight, where this powerful man is utterly and totally smitten with this completely bland, average looking, and uninteresting girl. It's part of the fantasy, I guess, that a woman can have a valuable, fascinating man who goes completely bonkers over her for no other reason than that she is herself.

What that says about real life seduction is up for debate, but there are definitely DJ seductor types who take the heavy romance route, even though it isn't taught here. The key is that these guys really stir up the girl's emotions.

Keep in mind too that when women read those types of things they know they're engaging in fantasy. So while his physical and social traits might be somewhat hardwired to turn women on, his behavior is likely not.

For example, my porn involves chicks who smile at the camera and then immediately start taking their clothes off. This is fine in the context of that fantasy. However, if some girl came over to my place on a first date and immediately started taking her clothes off with no warning, I would probably feel very uncomfortable. Because people just don't do that.

So if you were to go out and, in real life, start treating women the same way that this fictional hero does, most of them would shun you because they wouldn't know how to deal with it. That's why the whole "push-pull" method is much better. Because it gives them tastes of that romance, but then when they start to feel overwhelmed with it because it's so abnormal, you pull away and act distant or like a jerk, etc.

My only experience with the book is that I had (fairly conservative) sex with this girl, and the next day she shows the book to me and says "you know this book? it's really great, I can only recommend it".

Haha, wow! Too bad the next time I saw her she told me flat out she wanted a serious relationship, and I had to cut all ties after that.

Now that we're warming up this thread, I ended up reading the first 2 chapters or so. What can I say? It's a horrible cheesy chick flick - plus HAWT bondage.

Finished the 3 books and totally love them!

I read the books out of curiosity. The story isn't bad, but the writing is terrible. Anyway, I think most people miss what makes it appealing to women. The kink that's in it is pretty tame, really. It's more about the guy that has everything going for him, that everyone wants, but for some reason he chooses this plain, uninteresting girl and falls for her completely. And he's just broken enough to provide some drama.
