I must admit, it is true, a ltr, a woman can destroy one man's dreams. Since I got out of a ltr early this year, a BIG BANG happened in my head. Suddenly all my dreams that were sufocated became alive again and I feel much much better.

To dream is so important, is like the sparks of a V12 engine a DJ is made of   ehehhe

so, my dreams are

for today and 1, 2 months ahead

a new flyfishing rig
an ipod
get back to my stock market trading job
learn chinese and to sing (not in chinese eheh)
improve as a DJ on a daily basis
go back to swimming master series

within one year from today
move out
have U$100 k to trade
spend 6 months in Sicily - just fishing and photographing, making love with women tourists from all over the world...

what are your dreams?

my long term dreams, laugh if you want, but the dreams that keep me from shacking up from any two bit tramp that has good coochie (I said coochie:)) is me, living in my dream home which is somewhere either in Southern California or in Italy, with my "tribe" which will consist of 2-4 women and a couple of kids for good measure... Because that's the way it's supposed to be done, at least in my opinion.

One thing I have come to learn that money isn't as important as many people make it out to be... power is what you want.. however so many people are blindly chasing money their entire lives they fail to realize this.

I wouldn't mind taking a stab at politics later in my life, but I doubt it, the way this political system is setup, I feel like I might be wasting my time, as I have strong views on alot of things. However, I am sure there are alot of idealisitc politicans on the hill now that were faced with the harsh reality of how current world politics work.

I plan on getting in horse racing ownership here in the next year... I bought a yearling mid last year but he died on me.

I don't know how long it will take cause I do have a lot to learn on this, but that's what I decided to do, so that's it.

My father left a farm when he died. This farm was one of the things that made he depressed, and depression was what caused his death. Today, it's running pretty bad, even though I made some changes that made it goes a lot better than it was, but still it needs some serious management. (Props to STR8UP, backbreaker and Jvesti -- these guys made amazing posts which really motivated me)

I want to have an income of R$ 10.000 (something like US$ 4.500) per month coming from this farm, this after everything is paid, of course.

Yea, it would be easy to just sell it, pay the debts (my father left a HUGE amount of debt), and investing the rest. I and my family could live really well just with the interest. But that's assuming defeat.

--edit: of course, this is just the beginning, not the end. After I get there, surely I will have a lot of other goals to achieve. One thing at a time. :)

Or even worse, a woman can get you so out of yourself that after she leaves, you just can't remember what your dreams were in the first place. You were drained to the point of being totally empty. No sense of self. THIS is hard to get back. That's why some break-ups take a lot longer than others to heal.
