This isn't even a romantic offer. She's a stripper at her workplace. She's being a sales rep. Sales reps (male and female) get turned down all the time.
Some people might think that men are better at being sales reps than women because men are accustomed to approaching women in a romantic setting. Men are accustomed to rejections because of the experience from romantic interactions.
I think that argument above was a more valuable argument in the pre-internet era. With most "approaching" now being done on swipe apps, the rejection is different. Men still get rejected a lot in the swipe app era, except now the rejection isn't in real time. The male rejection is all done from behind an electronic screen.
