I mean, are they heads of state? Are they controlling world banks? Royalty perhaps?

They are walking on a freaking field to the locker room and are flanked by state troopers! LOL

Seriously, what the fvck! Its so gay.

At the SEC games I've been to, the visiting team's buses will have state police escorts of several vehicles in front and back of the bus convoy. Home team fans like to throw things at them, and I would guess it is the same with the coaches.

These coaches are walking financial institutions of their own accord. The troopers are taking home overtime pay for these events so it's an opportunity whether it be boring or exciting to them.

If these coaches want to hire private security guards then fine but I have an issue with law enforcement officials escorting them, overtime or not.

Troopers have the authority to arrest (stat.15a-401(b)), transport a suspect to intake (aka going 10-72), carry and use a firearm (stat.15a-401(d)) unlike any security guards I've seen at ACC football games in person, etc. The guards are useless hence why I saw plenty of law enforcement officers from campus, local deputies and state officers throughout the inside and outsides of stadiums who do have the power to arrest and transport them. All the guards will do is detain and transfer suspects over to LEO's, thus absolving their responsibilities up to and including testifying in a court of law which they frequently shirk unless issued a subpoena. Feel free to hate on the ones you see off camera. Not that you already do that...

All these problems wouldnt exist if it wasnt for some d1ckheads who feel the need to compensate for their senseless life by turning sport into a fight.

I just hope the state bills for the troopers' overtime. The taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for this.
The state makes a lot more money off taxing the massive economic activity created by college football than it spends on police at those events.
