Can you transition from AFC to DJ in a relationship?

AFC's do get girls every now and then.

If you realize that as a DJ when interacting with a girl, you have regressed in to AFC behavior, and developed whatever sort of relationship you have with the girl around AFC behavior patterns, is it possible to re-frame the interaction as DJ successfully?

If so, how do you go about doing this? An abrupt change in behavior, attributed to some dramatic spiritual experience? Or what?
